Owner lives next door and is very friendly and helpful. We loved the remote location and the beautiful views. I would describe the cottage as pretty basic. All the equipment necessary was there but it was mostly very old and on its last legs. The iron looked at least 30 years old as did the Hoover and both has insulation tape around the flex! There was no real comfort or flair to anything. There was a bench by the front door but no space for a table so no chance of meals outside. We found the cottage very dark and needed the lights on during the day, so having no space outside was not pleasant. We are used to a king size bed so we found the double bed somewhat constraining. The mattress was lumpy and hard.
