Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

A beautiful location overlooking Worms Head on the Gower Peninsula in South Wales; there’s much to see and do locally.

Channel View is a beautiful seafront property situated in the south west corner of Rhossili, overlooking the Worm’s Head. The Gower Peninsula is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the first place to be assigned this title in the UK. Within a few minutes’ walk of the holiday cottage there is a huge expanse of beach which can also be seen from the property. It is possible to walk across the bay to Llangennith or even cross onto the Worm’s Head at low tide. This is also one of the UK’s most desirable surfing beaches. Rhossili is perfect for walkers and beach lovers and lies above the dazzling sandy crescent of Rhossili Bay which has been voted by TripAdvisor’s Traveller Choice Beaches Awards as the best beach in the UK for two years running (2013 & 2014), the third best beach in Europe and the ninth best in the world! The village is largely owned by the National Trust, which has kept this beautiful area almost untouched. Also within minutes of the property enjoy surfing lessons and hire, fishing, hang gliding, horse riding, cycling and much, much more. Shop ½ mile, pub 400 yards.

The weather spoiled our holiday but the property was clean and spacious. The down stairs bedroom smelt of damp which wasnt very nice. Although the property was very well equipped it didn't have anywhere bright to sit. Rooms are very dated. Bearing in mind the weather was damp It wasn't cold but we needed the heating on to just take the chill off but it was difficult to get the heating on. The rubbish was also very confusing. We went away with my mum who is in her 80's and although quite spritely for her age found the stairs a little daunting. They are very steep. The views from the kitchen were fantastic it's a shame there's not a table in the there to eat. Our teenage children loved the ping pong & pool table.

A great base for families with a dog or two. Rhossili is beautiful but a car is essential to get out and about.

Brilliant location and the cottage is spacious with great views. My only quibble is with the lighting in the lounge. Hence I cannot share out best memories as the photos are too dark. The main kitchen, however, is big and bright and we'll equipped so here is my friend practising stirring!
