I took our two boys aged 11 and 9 to stay here for 4 nights. We wished we were staying longer. The chalet is small (I think it would have been a squeeze if my husband came too) but really comfortable and brilliantly well equipped- I'd taken teatowels, washing up liquid, bin bags, salt etc but no need- the owner had thought of everything (including dvds and a range of games if it had been wet- luckily we had brilliant weather.) It was very clean and tidy too. There was plenty of cooking equipment but we made the most of the on site restaurant in the evenings, which had traditional pub grub, reasonably priced and very friendly service. The park itself is not particularly exciting but it is perfectly located to visit some of the best beaches, National Trust places, Eden project, Padstow etc so we were hardly there during the day. Highly recommended.

Chalet 81 was lovely and comfortable, however, the decking outside was very rotten, and therefore unsafe - especially for children! I would recommend this is fixed as soon as possible before someone has an accident.

The decking was broken causing our son to fall, the chalet was not overly clean and much of the storage taken with the owners things including in the kitchen. The hoover was full so we had to empty it before we could use it. In fact the chalet was so uninvitong we went home halfway through our stay The sofa was not particularly comfortable

Chalet 81 is very small and, although it sleeps four people, it is more suitable for two. It is, however, well-equipped and is wholly able to accommodate self-catering if required. The site was quiet when we were there in early June but I imagine it would be pretty crowded in peak periods. The bar/restaurant/clubhouse is very good with a great choice of beers and ciders while the food menu is extensive , varied and well-priced. The down-side to the site is that there is nothing much within two miles, St Merryn being the nearest (small) town, and although we like walking (especially to pubs), the road is busy with no footpath. Essentially you must have a car to stay here.
