Fantastic property. I have stayed in many cottages before and this is up there with the very best. Surrounded by countryside and great to watch cows in the fields keeping the kids entertained. Little touches made all the difference to our stay (flowers, milk, tea and coffee) so a real credit to the owners who also run a busy farm.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage so much so we were only in there a few minutes and we were planning our next stay. The cottage is warm and welcoming and the view is just stunning. It is really well equipped with everything you would need and more. The open fire in the evening is so homely. The location is perfect, only a few miles away from Beauly and yet so peaceful. We sat outside every day and also in the evening. On our last day we were outside and there were 2 raddits playing in the field next to us, then up pops a squrial running along the stone wall in front of the cottage and then there was a pheasant is the other field with the cows, it was great fun to watch. The cows next to us were a delight, we called them our welcoming party. The owners were lovely hosts taking us round their farm, our little boy of 2 years really enjoyed it. Our little boy has a disability and uses a walking frame, the house is so spacious he could use it with ease inside and he loved going out into the garden to play. We would really recommend a stay in this cottage. We loved every second of our stay and are planning our next holiday there.

Had been to this cottage before but on this occasion there was a noticeable remaining pet smell and one of our party has allergies so stay became uncomfortable.

The owner wanted to change the terms of our booking in relation to where our dog could sleep wanting her shut in the utility room at night , we objected and compromised with the hallway as she is a rescue and very nervous. Reading the owners comments they believe their cottage is a 10/10 , but with no freezer, a small under counter fridge, a missing shelf in the oven making cooking at home difficult and the lack of proper secured fencing all around the property (the front garden goes into the neighbours and then the road) an old TV which only works when the digibox is on , it's far from the standard we usually expect. On our arrival all the electrical points and boiler had been turned off so we didn't have any hot water the following day. The cows in the neighbouring field can come right up to the boundary as its only about a metre distance from the edge of the property which didn't bother us but my dog felt intimidated and we couldn't sit outside as they are very nosey and smelly.

Much better now there's a freezer, and at last the old suite has been replaced although for me personally the corner unit 3 piece suite is not functional as the accompanying chair is isolated behind the door. This is not a complaint it's just down to personal taste.

I really can't recommend Castle View highly enough! What a beautiful house in a beautiful location! We had some of the most gorgeous sunsets I've ever seen, and there is so much space around you that you get almost a 360 degree view of the sky! The house was very clean, and we felt extremely welcome as soon as we drove up the drive - my dog immediately discovered that treats had been scattered around outside for her! (She is very easily won over with food!) When we got into the house, we found fresh roses in the living room, which were absolutely gorgeous! The furniture and decor were uncluttered and everything matched everything else. The beds were very comfy, and I loved the ensuite bathroom, although the shower had a tendency to fill up a little bit. The free wifi was an added bonus, and worked better than in most hotels I've stayed in, and the TV got good reception. The kitchen was well equipped, with a nice big dishwasher, and the washing machine also came in useful! Tea, coffee and condiments were provided, and we were also pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of milk in the fridge too! (I do agree with previous reviews in that a freezer might have been helpful, but you can't have everything!) Loved the cows wandering past the house, and the big garden. We were in a good location for visiting some of the more famous sights (e.g. Loch Ness, and Inverness is only about 30 minutes away) although we discovered Reelig Glen on our last day, which is about a five minute drive away and is absolutely gorgeous! Beauly itself is a lovely little town. The people are really friendly, and there are some good shops (e.g. the Co-Op was useful, and there's a nice gift shop, fish n chip shop and a Chinese takeaway!) My one little niggle is that maybe it should be made a bit clearer on the write up for the cottage that although pets are allowed in Castle View, they're only allowed where there isn't carpet - i.e. the utility room and the kitchen. We found this a bit difficult with our pooch, although it was lovely that a doggie bed was provided in the utility room, which we thought was a really nice touch. On the whole, I would happily stay at Castle View again.

A fantastic property in a great location with friendly hosts. Immaculately clean and very spacious with everything we needed for our weekend break. We were lucky enough to have snow and the area was turned in to a winter wonderland! A trip to the mountains is a must and of course a visit to Loch Ness is a tick in the box. We will definitely be staying at Castleview again and would recommend it to anyone.
