At one time this was no doubt a superb place to say but it does need a lot of work to bring it back up to scratch. It has a super pool but its classed as heated and it clearly isn,t heated also there are quite a few tiles around the pool entrance that are loose and could be dangerous especially for children! Also the pool shower does not work and the pool was quite dirty with leaves/insects etc ! The house itself is in a really quiet location with the opportunity to see lots of wildlife including Deer/Owls/pine martins and several bird species. The kitchen is well fitted out and our only complaint here really was the strip light needs replacing. The bedrooms are ok clean and tidy but the mezzanine is very small and only has access through one of the bedrooms. The shower cabinet was broken but we were given this info by the owner prior to going and decided to go anyway and with the main bathroom 4 of us managed OK. The bedroom entrance (where the mezzanine is ) has a home made door that just does not shut unless something is put behind it to wedge it closed ! Lots of bulbs needed replacing and although there were some in a kitchen drawer we did not want to chance putting the wrong ones in also its not our job to replace them. Quite a lot of tile damage or missing particularly in the single toilet.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; When the 2015 season began the property was inspected and was ready for our visitors. Regarding the pool, during the later end of the season various problems arose: The Pool is 'Salt Water' and the system was not functioning 100%, the Heater we now know needs replacing. The tiles around the pool require re cementing and the cover needs replacing. All of the above are in hand and during the winter a new Salt Water system, Heater, Cover and Tile re-cementing will take place. The pool shower will be removed and unfortunately not replaced. New Fencing will be erected from pool house to end wall of pool. The shower cabinet base was damaged previously and could not be replaced until the winter closure but the shower is being replaced. The bedroom door will be made secure and the Mezzanine area is usually used by children. The Lighting will be checked during the winter break and bulbs replaced. New bulbs are supplied in the kitchen drawers in case they are needed. The single toilet - the tiles do not go to the floor but start approximately 25 centimetres from the floor. The winter maintenance will also see re-roofing to the older part of the Pigeonnier. We want our guests to enjoy the tranquillity our property provides and strive to keep a high standard.
