The outside area of the property was lovely, but there were 4 sunbeds (for 6 people) and these were cast iron and uncomfortable. The kitchen was dated and did not have a cooker which was a problem when self catering for a family of 6. The style of the kitchen meant that it did not feel as clean as it could. The equipment was disappointing (no lid for large saucepan, chopping board aged and grubby), old and dirty dish scrubber. We had to buy several items which should not be the case given the cost of the cottage. The living space seating was Insufficient for 6, and uncomfortable. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The downstairs bathroom was dated and the upstairs reasonable. Similar comments to these had been written in the visitors book as far back as 2010 but these have not been acted upon. On leaving we were asked to pay €180 for cleaning which is excessive given that the property did not meet the expected standard, and the property detail suggested €26/person which does not amount to €180. The directions to the property lack clarity- the property is no.9 which should be stated and it is the 3rd driveway on the left of the gravel track. We looked for 40 minutes for the property - the owners phone number did not reach her (an automated message) so we had to call customer services for help. When we had a problem with our hire car, the owner was helpful in organising a taxi for us.

A charming picture but too many hidden unfortunate agendas including broken furniture, faulty electrics, dirty cupboards, surfaces, bedding and equipment. Also, a grossly under equipped kitchen with mismatching and broken items, very cheap and tatty utensils. Beds were not made on arrival, we had to make them. Much of the furniture advertised on the site has been replaced with inferior items. We were grateful for the dishwasher and the beautiful clean pool set in lovely grounds. It is a shame these features were overshadowed by so many other insufficiencies.
