Decorated and furnished to a very good standard, this property offers a great base for friends, families and groups to explore the Isle of Wight. The spacious, enclosed rear garden is a haven in summer, and bike storage is also provided. The local beach is just a short stroll down the road; enjoy a day by the sea or take a drive around this stunning island. West of Gurnard is the popular sailing town of Cowes, well-known all over the world for hosting some of the best yachting events. The high street is pedestrianised, and is packed with independent shops, boutiques, pubs, restaurants and galleries, as well as chandlers and purveyors of famous brands of sailing gear. From Carpe Diem, it is easy to explore Queen Victoria’s Osborne House, the famous Chines and the Needles, as well as enjoy the many miles of superb walking and cycling trails. Beach 500 yards.     Excellent property in a great location. Isle of Wight is small enough that you can get to any other area with relative ease, but the local area of Gurnard was lovely, not commercial, quiet with a couple of nice pubs in easy walking distance and a well sticked local shop. The house was really nice, well equipped and modern and Clare was great to deal with. Highly recommend this place.

    Carpe Diem is a modern house in a pleasant suburb of Cowes. The 2 mile walk to Cowes along the front is very pleasant. All the island's attractions are within easy reach. The house was comfortable, clean and warm, if furnished in a quite minimalist style which is not to my taste. There's still lots there that we would like to see, and so may go again.

    An excellent house for a family group in a good position in Gurnard with sea views from a bedroom and convenient local store and pubs. Also easy car access to other Island amenities and attractions.

    Had a lovely week here. Beautiful house very clean and comfortable. Not far from all major supermarkets local store minutes away that sells everything. Sea two minutes away and esplanade walk into Cowes. Clare the owner can't do enough to make your stay in her property comfortable. All home comforts supplied. Osbourne house is a must, great day out and lovely grounds for a picnic. Will definitely return

    We enjoyed our stay very much. It's within walking distance of three good restaurants and is extremely modern and comfortable.
