Our holiday was amazing. Sitting out in the garden in the afternoon, drinking tea was lovely, watching the boats go by. Husband was fishing, feeding Henry the heron. The boat trip was good. Shops are so close to the house.

The cottage is in an excellent position near the river yet also in the centre of Wroxham. It is close to all the local amenities. It is very clean, modern, fresh and has everything you need to enjoy your holiday. This was our third visit and we will certainly be going back again.

We were a party of 7 active senior citizens visiting this area of Norfolk for the first time. Our initial reaction to Captains was, without exception, immediately favourable. Everyone was impressed with the high quality of the furnishings and decor throughout right down to the cutlery, not counting the cheaper, obvious replacements for items that had been lost perhaps. We would have enjoyed more time in the seating area leading on to the water if the weather had allowed it. We felt the whole house had a warm, friendly, atmosphere and was very quiet considering it is very close to the main waterway. This also allowed for a real sense of privacy. The surrounding area with its variety of good shops has everything anyone might need during a stay at Captains. We had planned to visit various gardens during our visit and use Captains as a base but found we had much more to enjoy from the house itself, including a 2 hour trip on one of the large boats along the Broads. We did have a problem with one of the showers but this was seen to quickly although not fully resolved. We also enjoyed reading through the Guest Book and regret that we didn't remember to enter some comments worthy of our enjoyable stay. We would certainly recommend Captains as a great place to stay and would not hesitate to return in the future.

Captains is a well situated property in the centre of Wroxham almost on the main river. It is modern , light , warm in the winter and has all the amenities you need. The visiting herons wanting lunch adds to the enjoyment of the visit.
