Description

This stylish, detached, converted barn is just a few hundred yards from the heart of Chipping Campden

This stylish, detached, converted barn is just a few hundred yards from the heart of Chipping Campden. As the main town in the north-western area of the Cotswolds of high hills and secluded coomb (with its magnificent ’wool’ church, wide market street and beautiful buildings that span at least five centuries), this would make the perfect base from which to tour and explore. With an acre of grounds and ample parking for visitors, Campden Barn offers a high level of comfort with limestone flooring in bathrooms and underfloor heating on both floors of the property.
The magnificent gardens of Kiftsgate Court and Hidcote Manor - with its lovely views over the Vale of Evesham - are not to be missed, as well as many other National Trust properties in the locality; Stratford-upon-Avon (approximately 8 miles), shops, restaurants and pubs, 200 yards.

Large living room with wood-burning stove, 37" LCD TV, natural limestone floor and French doors to garden and paddock. Large well-equipped open-plan kitchen/dining room with granite worktops, wood-burning stove, breakfast bar, range cooker, combi m/wave, American f/freezer, 40in LCD TV, natural limestone floor and French doors to garden. Campden Barn is in a good location in the charming town of Chipping Campden. This small town has bags of character and lots of interesting small shops. Campden Barn was comfortable and clean. The dining area and lounge were particularly comfortable but we found the bedrooms too small. The 2 double bedrooms upstairs suffered from a lack of privacy as they have a glass window overlooking the lounge and dining area. I understand that it is to add extra light to the room, as the upstairs room are in the eves, but skylights would have done the job and given more privacy. We were a group of 8 walkers and found the lack of privacy intrusive but if you are a smaller group or a family it may not be a problem. On the plus side there was plenty of space for parking, the location was good and the barn was spotlessly clean.

Really enjoyed our stay for a family celebration. Great location and good facilities for a group of 8 adults - so nice to find four bedrooms without bunk beds and having four bathrooms plus a separate toilet. Plenty of relaxation space too; great social spaces.

The barn is in a good location with plenty to do and see locally. When we arrived it was basically clean and in good order, but there was a few cobwebs and one of the bedroom floors was dusty and sticky. We had to vacuum and wash it. The barn really needs a deep clean. Having said all that the beds were comfortable and bedding beautifully clean. Also there are no doors on the upstairs bedrooms, which can be noisy.

A lovely property with very comfortable beds. We chose the barn for the downstairs bedrooms with bathrooms for our elderly parents, however the rooms were too snug so they ended up upstairs for the additional space. Having said this the ground floor rooms were fine for myself and sister so not a disaster! Lovely location we enjoyed the wildlife including various birds of prey, deer and rabbits. We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in the Cotswolds.
