This stylish, detached, converted barn is just a few hundred yards from the heart of Chipping Campden

This stylish, detached, converted barn is just a few hundred yards from the heart of Chipping Campden. As the main town in the north-western area of the Cotswolds of high hills and secluded coomb (with its magnificent ’wool’ church, wide market street and beautiful buildings that span at least five centuries), this would make the perfect base from which to tour and explore. With an acre of grounds and ample parking for visitors, Campden Barn offers a high level of comfort with limestone flooring in bathrooms and underfloor heating on both floors of the property.
The magnificent gardens of Kiftsgate Court and Hidcote Manor - with its lovely views over the Vale of Evesham - are not to be missed, as well as many other National Trust properties in the locality; Stratford-upon-Avon (approximately 8 miles), shops, restaurants and pubs, 200 yards.

Large living room with wood-burning stove, 37" LCD TV, natural limestone floor and French doors to garden and paddock. Large well-equipped open-plan kitchen/dining room with granite worktops, wood-burning stove, breakfast bar, range cooker, combi m/wave, American f/freezer, 40in LCD TV, natural limestone floor and French doors to garden. 7 ladies very much enjoyed Campden Barn for the weekend to celebrate a 50th Birthday. We usually stay in hotels but thought we'd try a house for a change! Lovely to have 4 bathrooms and great communal areas. Great location - able to get on the Cotswold Way and into Chipping Campden in a few minutes. Would have liked a full length mirror and a fire poker but this is being really picky! We will definitely go back.

We stayed here over New Years and had a fantastic time. We were 8 adults and 1 baby but found there was plenty of room. The barn itself has all the amenities you might need for your stay and would be even better in summer. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so didn't get to do any walks. The only hassle that I could see was having to get your own wood for the burners. The location to town is brilliant and great pubs to visit. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for a break. Perfect for short and long stays. Thanks Campden Barn.

The barn is beautiful, the interior is gorgeous and the location is perfect. Thinking of staying there again next year with my family.

Much enjoyed our visit, the Barn is spacious and well equipped. Some problems especially in playing DVDs in lounge as a family - PS3 equipment not functional.

Response on behalf of the Owner; We appreciate the positive comments, we tested the PlayStation and it was found to have been damaged. A new PS3 has now been installed and DVD and Blu-ray playback are also now operating smoothly.

The Barn was ideal for our annual get together. Five ladies who were at college together many years ago and now live in different parts of the country. It was so nice being within walking distance of a choice of places to eat in the evening but also having excellent facilities to stay in and cook. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in Chipping Campden.

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are happy to hear that you made use of the many fine restaurants, cafes and pubs within a few minutes' walk of Campden Barn.

The property was booked for 8 adults (4 couples), 2 babies and 1 dog. There was some correspondence after the booking was made about the bedrooms and I was assured that there was 4 double bedrooms that had four walls and a door (for privacy and quiet). On arrival I discovered that the former galleried bedrooms were partitioned by a glass wall and had no door. This was not therefore as advertised. The bedrooms were therefore not suitable for babies due to the light and noise. Also the long gravel drive was not baby friendly for pushchairs. On a positive note the property was big, well equipped and clean. There was space for about 10 cars and a lovely big patio with ample garden furniture. The property was a 5 minute walk from the village.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for the feedback. We have not been able to ascertain who provided the incorrect pre-visit advice. As commented by other guests, the bedrooms offer great accommodation for babies, children, and adults alike. We trust that the Barn's facilities and location resulted in your party having a fantastic stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We notified the housekeeper of a few minor niggles which, if rectified, would make the difference between good and great! In particular, to have no firewood or poker/tongs in a property with two log burners seemed odd!
