Calico Cottage is simply superb! It is well insulated so warm and cosy yet spacious enough for 2 people and their holiday needs. The lighting in the cottage is excellent which is quite unusual in a holiday cottage and there are plenty of windows for outside light and views. The owner is very helpful and friendly but not obtrusive and it is a short walk to the pub (12 minutes) and a bit further to the village which met all our needs. There are superb walks straight from the Door of the cottage.

Super, comfortable cottage. ~~This was our first visit but it will not be our last. It is easy to see why there are so many repeat bookings. We'll be back.

We enjoyed our stay at Calico Cottage. Very convenient for touring the highlights of Derbyshire, and for the local shops and eating places. Found the leather settee a bit uncomfortable (minor gripe!) Bed was lovely and comfortable. We have said that we wouldn't go again, not because of the cottage, but we like to do different things and stay in different places.
