Set within 12 acres, this converted granary makes an idea cottage for that family holiday.

Originally a granary built in 1750, now having been refurbished and furnished to a high standard, this detached holiday property offers a comfortable base, set on 12 acres offering direct access to the River Usk, where fishing permits are available subject to availability. Spectacular views of the Abergavenny and Brecon mountains form a beautiful backdrop to the Welsh countryside, including Sugar Loaf, Skirrid and Blorenge. Greal location with plenty to do within small driving distances. We climbed hills, saw waterfalls, visited castles and went to the mines.

Easy to get to;brilliant setting, close to Abergavenny for shopping and for the town itself; best views ever- hillside behind and open fields to the front; ideal centre for tourist sites: Blaenavon Big Pit [free underground tour] and Heritage Centre, Tintern and Llanthony Abbeys, Raglan, Grosmont, Skenfrith and White Castles, Black Mountains and Hay Bluff, Brecon Beacons and the Storey Arms. Ate remarkably well at the Riverside Restaurant at Llanwenarth Hotel, but plenty of other options. Absolutely everything we needed in the cottage itself and having the owner next door was a bonus too. We fully intend to return
