Welsh Country Cottages

From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

Situated on a working farm, this modern barn conversion enjoys a hot tub and lies close to many attractions and amenities.

These 3 beautiful and spacious barn conversions are set on a working sheep and beef farm, and each property has its own private hot tub. The farm itself has 140 acres, and the farmland links up to the Ystwyth Cycle Trail which is over 16 miles long. The interiors of the properties have vaulted ceilings, modern lighting, and furnished with leather sofas and wood-burning stoves, each with a hot tub available. All 3 properties (refs OA5, OA6 and OA7) can be booked together to form one large house sleeping 12, and they all have interconnecting doors which can be opened up. There is also the option of taking a horse on holiday, the farm has 6 loose boxes and a paddock which can be made available. Located near Tregaron, a small Welsh-speaking market town where guests can visit the famous Rhiannon Welsh Gold Centre that offers beautiful gifts and a fantastic art gallery. Tregaron is also famous for its trotting races, which are actually held here at Dolyrychain Farm on the Sunday following the May bank holiday and also over the August bank holiday weekend each year. The event is the largest of its kind and attracts over 10,000 visitors. This is a haven for walkers and cyclists with the Cambrian Mountains at the foot of the farm and the panoramic Pumlumon Mountains to the north. Visit the university town of Aberystwyth, home of the National Library of Wales, take a walk on the promenade or even catch the electric cliff railway on Construction Hill. For a magical day out take the narrow gauge railway from Aberystwyth to the heart of the Pumlumon Mountains where the destination will be the world famous Devils Bridge and Rheidol Falls. Ideal for fishing, as there is private fly fishing 2 miles away, as well as other fishing venues close by. Shop and pub 1 mile.

Me and my partner stayed for two nights and had a fantastic time. We were really impressed with the facilities, everything was modern and very clean, the hot tub was a great addition. The kitchen was fully equipment with everything you might need to cook a meal. We had a very warm welcome from Iona, and were even offered a lift to the local pub :-) We visited Devils bridge and waterfalls which I would highly recommend. We will definitely be visiting again.

We had an amazing time, lovely, well appointed cottage that was better than we could have hoped for. Already planning another trip but taking all of our extended family with us this time. A note about previous reviews mentioning the dirt track up to it, not the case anymore, to the point I thought we had gone the wrong way when we were following a nice long tarmac path up to the front door. I would and have already highly recommended this destination.

Really nice cottage, everything really nice apart from the two separate chairs as a sofa, not as comfy and cosy.

Lovely cottage in the Welsh countryside. Close to Devils Bridge and Aberystwyth town which are both great places to visit. Log fire and hot tub were amazing. Cottage owners were lovely and very helpful.

Had a brilliant holiday and can't wait to go back! The access road into cottages slows you down abit adds 15 minutes onto your journey... fabulous cottage very homely and comfortable the hot tub and the sunset are just amazing.

Lovely accommodation, which is kept spotlessly clean. The owners are very proactive and ensured that our stay was just how we wanted it to be. Nothing was too much trouble, even accommodating our motorbike and trailer.

Quiet location with excellent views of the countryside and mountains. Lots of opportunity for outdoor activities and places to visit. Quality materials used in the renovation of this property. It was very relaxing having the bath in the bedroom and the use of the hot tub after a days exploring in the mountains or by the coast. Comfortable bed with soft linens. We enjoyed this place for two and bringing our dog! On a practical note the cottage would benefit from some hooks for coats and a shelf in the bathroom!
