Description

A stunning and spacious, detached, oak-framed barn conversion in a rural setting, with far reaching views.

This stunning, detached, oak-framed barn conversion is nestled overlooking the wonderful Powys countryside. The barn has been lovingly converted to provide spacious holiday accommodation and is set in expansive gardens from where you can enjoy the views and watch the red kites and buzzards whilst relaxing in the hot tub or sitting on the patio. Inside, every comfort and convenience has been taken care of, including a first floor living boasting a Juliet balcony to take full advantage of the views, an apex ceiling, oak beams and a large woodburner. For further relaxation, indoors there is a separate games room and an additional upstairs ’chillout’ area on the landing with a TV, which children or teenagers will especially enjoy. Apart from the dining room, the kitchen also has a sociable breakfast bar area and is fitted with oak cabinets and granite worktops, and includes a TV, rayburn, electric range cooker and an American-style fridge/freezer. The property provides an excellent base for exploring the beautiful countryside and taking part in activities such as canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding or walking. It is also ideal for delving into the history of Wales’ last prince, Llewellyn, who was killed just outside Builth in December 1282. Located just a few miles away, Builth Wells is an interesting market town which hosts Wales’ famous Royal Agricultural Show in July each year, and other shows and fairs throughout the year. Also nearby are the historic and inviting towns of Rhayader and Llandrindod Wells, with their individual shops, cafes and restaurants. Or why not visit the Elan Valley Dams or the Brecon Beacons National Park, with 500 square miles of spectacular scenery. This splendid property is the perfect location for getting away from it all and relaxing, and for enjoying everything that this naturally beautiful part of Wales has to offer. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Lovely property for a relaxing weekend away. Very modern and clean interior. Excellent ammenities, heating water and internet facilities. Hot tub was a major selling point and made the weekend even more fun - despite the rainy weather. Would come here once a month if I could!

The barn is absolutely stunning, with amazing views from every window and the jacuzzi! From our point of view we were disappointed there wasn't anywhere to walk our dogs from the barn, we always had to go somewhere in the car. The property is quite a way from the Brecon Beacons park and the nearest village for supplies (Builth wells) is about a 15 min drive, but it is set in beautiful countryside.

Beautifully appointed barn conversion in a stunning location. Great base for exploring this area. Owners couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay….lovely homemade cake awaiting our arrival. Spacious and comfortable with welcome treats for the dogs too. Where else could you sit in a hot tub watching Red Kites flying above. As the property is surrounded by farmland with livestock, we found we had to get in the car in order to find a good dog walking spot….but with large gardens this wasn't a problem for us. Look forward to visiting again.
