Description

Glorious views can be from this adjoining barn conversions, located 4 miles from Cornwall’s spectacular north coast.

With views over the glorious countryside these pet-friendly holiday cottages are situated just 4 miles from Cornwall’s spectacular north coast. Buttercups Barn (ref: THF) and Campion Cottage (ref: THG) are converted barns adjoining one another; each enjoys its own pretty landscaped garden to the front which is an ideal place for morning coffee or al fresco dining taking in the sights and sounds of this peaceful countryside setting. They both have exposed beams and stonework and are light and airy and well presented. St Teath is about 1 mile with a pub and shops, and the larger village of Camelford is about 3 miles. Within a few miles are the sandy surfing beaches at Polzeath and Daymer Bay and the dramatic scenery of Boscastle and Tintagel, with its mystical ruined castle. It is a short drive from Port Isaac, a pretty harbour village where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed. Close by is the market town of Wadebridge and the harbour town of Padstow with its array of shops, restaurants and bars, including Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant. Just across from Padstow is Rock which is great for water sports, and Bodmin Moor is excellent for walking and horse riding. Cycle hire available locally. Shops and pub 1 mile.

Cosy living/dining room with electric ‘coal-effect’ fire, rug on oak floor, French doors to garden and compact farmhouse-style kitchen area. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and French doors to garden. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet.

This is the third time we have been to Buttercups Barn for a weekly holiday - we thoroughly enjoy staying in the cottage, which is fairly central for us to travel to our favourite places. The cottage itself is in a quiet location with a lovely outlook and is safe for Gunner, our dog. The owner is very pleasant and helpful at all times. I would recommend this cottage.

Very warm and friendly welcome. A clean and well-equipped holiday cottage. A great deal of thought has gone in to what is provided. Lovely remote location and a great base for exploring North Cornwall. Would definitely stay again.

Had a fantastic time here, Buttercups Barn is a quiet retreat, overlooking open farmland. There are local amenities not far away, with lots of local produce, and an excellent fish and chip shop. The owners Connie and Tim are very helpful, and on arrival we were left fresh eggs, apple juice, milk in the fridge and locally made fudge. We have stayed here twice now, and can't wait to return.

I was surprised the cottage is attached to another! The photos seem deceptive and look detached. The hosts attention to detail, milk and eggs even treats for our dog!

What a lovely barn conversion, fully equipped and clean. A credit to the owners. We had a wonderful stay, it's so quiet and relaxing, with lovely views to wake up to in the morning. Our Labrador had his own field to run free in, even some doggy biscuits for him on arrival, shortbread biscuits for us with a bottle of juice and a bottle of milk in the fridge. I would highly recommend to anyone who is deciding where to stay that's extremely dog friendly. We can't wait to stay again.

Reviewing this from a dog owners perspective. Was perfect for our needs, the enclosed garden was perfect for letting them out without having to put a lead on and not have any worries they would decide to wander off in the dark.(Terriers!) Owner was lovely. Dog friendly beaches were about 25 minutes away by car with several to choose from. It was a nice size for two people , very comfortable, Next time I come to the area I would certainly look to see if this cottage was available again.

A good setting with lovely views and not overlooked. We had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage is more spacious than it looks in the photos and felt like a home-from-home. Plenty of lovely places to visit close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful area and the views were amazing, sitting having breakfast! A glass of wine watching the sunset ended our lovely days out too
