Description

Glorious views can be from this adjoining barn conversions, located 4 miles from Cornwall’s spectacular north coast.

With views over the glorious countryside these pet-friendly holiday cottages are situated just 4 miles from Cornwall’s spectacular north coast. Buttercups Barn (ref: THF) and Campion Cottage (ref: THG) are converted barns adjoining one another; each enjoys its own pretty landscaped garden to the front which is an ideal place for morning coffee or al fresco dining taking in the sights and sounds of this peaceful countryside setting. They both have exposed beams and stonework and are light and airy and well presented. St Teath is about 1 mile with a pub and shops, and the larger village of Camelford is about 3 miles. Within a few miles are the sandy surfing beaches at Polzeath and Daymer Bay and the dramatic scenery of Boscastle and Tintagel, with its mystical ruined castle. It is a short drive from Port Isaac, a pretty harbour village where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed. Close by is the market town of Wadebridge and the harbour town of Padstow with its array of shops, restaurants and bars, including Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant. Just across from Padstow is Rock which is great for water sports, and Bodmin Moor is excellent for walking and horse riding. Cycle hire available locally. Shops and pub 1 mile.

Cosy living/dining room with electric ‘coal-effect’ fire, rug on oak floor, French doors to garden and compact farmhouse-style kitchen area. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and French doors to garden. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet.

A good setting with lovely views and not overlooked. We had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage is more spacious than it looks in the photos and felt like a home-from-home. Plenty of lovely places to visit close by. We would definitely stay here again.

A lovely quiet place to stay. Owners very friendly and helpful. Nice touches , such as the welcome pack and dog towels and treats. I only stayed 4 nights on my own, but a couple for a week or more might find a washing machine useful. Nice to be able to walk your dog in one of the fields, even if he does roll in a cow pat!! The only down side was that the roads to the cottage from A39 were very narrow, I was lucky and only met traffic quite near a passing place.

Had a Lovely 7 nights 30th April to 7th May 2016. The Barn is in a lovely setting surrounded by fields and was very clean with great facilities. We had car trouble and had no car for three days but Connie was kind enough to take us to Tesco for shopping and even offered to drop us off to a pub and return us home. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. The guy from the Garage was just as helpful as he dropped me back to the cottage and came to collect me when the car was ready. We booked for another 10 days in Sept before we came home as it was so nice.

We had a comfortable and peaceful stay at Buttercups Barn. It was much more spacious than it looked in the photographs and our dog enjoyed the enclosed garden. The views over the surrounding countryside were lovely.
