Customers’ Choice Award 2018
A single storey lodge set in nine acres of countryside. Plenty of wildlife to spot and rural walks to enjoy.

Rural location

The quiet rural location of this single-storey timber lodge is enhanced by its 9 acres of wooded and ’wilderness’ surroundings, making it an ideal holiday location for birdwatchers and nature lovers. There is a small river just behind and visitors can watch birds, rabbits and occasional Muntjak deer from the windows and verandah. Furnished to a good standard, the lodge offers lovely, warm holiday accommodation. An ideal base for exploring the Suffolk and Norfolk countryside, the lodge is midway between the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, famous for its cathedral, Georgian theatre, abbey and gardens, museums and markets, and the historic city of Norwich which also has a cathedral and market plus a wide range of shops, restaurants and galleries to delight you. Nearby you can visit nature reserves, Bressingham Gardens and Steam Park, Banham Zoo, Ickworth House (NT), Thetford Forest where you will find extensive walks and cycle trails. If you want a day out at the seaside both the Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines are within an hour’s drive. Shop and pub 1 mile, restaurant 4 miles.

All on ground floor: Living room with French doors/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft), 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Freeview TV. DVD and small library. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Wi-fi. Garden with furniture. Portable barbecue. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. NB: Small river nearby.
