Location excellent, cottage 7 out of 10 would have been higher but for mould in shower room. The walks from the cottage are a reason to stay at bullock cottage and lea farm

A lovely holiday cottage in beautiful surroundings. Perfect location for exploring the West Sussex Coast. The kids loved all the sheep on the farm. Our only criticism, having stayed here two years ago is that it is now in need of some redecorating and modernisation of the bathroom.

Lovely farm location Beautiful views Very homely Bathroom could do with updating, especially the shower- there wasn't much water pressure and it needs re-grouting

Response on behalf of the owner:- We appreciate your comments. We agree the bathroom needs updating and plan to carry this work out over the winter months.

We loved the cottage and had a lovely weekend away. We felt it was a bit harsh being asked to leave on the Sunday by 10am. We were only at the cottage for the weekend so a 10am departure meant that we didn't really have time for a leisurely get up and breakfast on the Sunday. It was all quite rushed. Arriving after work on the Friday, and coping with heavy traffic on the way, meant we were at the cottage at 9pm, so in effect we only really had 1 day there. It was a lot of money for 1 day stay. When we asked about the 10am deadline, we were given a further 30 min!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. The checkout time is 10am as stated both in the booking conditions and on the guests booking details. The cleaning is done to a high standard which takes time to do as well as prepare the property for the next guests. I do feel I had been lenient in giving an extra half an hour for these guests to get ready.

Mrs Reeve has thought of everything, there were even hair driers in both bedrooms, a basket in the shower to house shampoo etc. These are small things but they are the differenct between a good stay and a brilliant one. The entire lodge has been put together with very good taste. The setting is superb with spectacular views. I would not hesitate in going back, but this time for a longer period and maybe during lambing season.
