A rather wet few days holiday (what does one expect in November) but we were delighted by the beauty and atmosphere of the Wast Water area. Buckbarrow flat was a warm and very cosy place to return to after a day walking with all the facilities we needed. The bed was very comfy and always plenty of hot water for showers. Tea, coffee, milk and yummy biscuits were a thoughtful addition.

Fantastic location, well equipped and clean. Only 2 things less good - lamp bulbs missing and no replacements, plus leaky guttering over-flowed onto path by stairs. I'd stay again though, great walking with somewhere very comfortable to return to.

A wonderful setting. So many amazing walks right from the door. Buckbarrow is warm and comfortable with everything you could need, including a wonderful view from the window of the ever changing weather and lambs playing in the fields.
