From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

This property offers excellent comfort, and is a good base from which to explore West Wales and Bryn Berwyn.

Bryn Berwyn country house is a family holiday home set in a small cluster of residential houses, on a very quiet road that connects the minor coastal roads with the main A487 coast road. The minor coastal road provides a spur road right down to the beach of Tresaith. This is a sandy family beach that has been awarded the Blue Flag and has easy access for launching all manner of light craft, a hidden 50-foot waterfall, fabulous rock pools and dogs are allowed on one half of the beach (1st May - 30th September). The beach front has been quietly developed with one gastro pub, shop and public WC (including shower) - in keeping with the hamlet of Tresaith. Bryn Berwyn is set ½ mile behind and above the beach (10-minute walk). This grand Edwardian house that has commanding views across Cardigan Bay was originally built for a sea captain in 1909. It has changed hands and use a few times over nearly 100 years but is now a well established large family holiday home, very spacious with excellent facilities. The whole of the local area is rich and diverse - lovely walks, beautiful beaches and well stocked rivers allowing great opportunities to see dolphins, seals and otters. Not to mention fantastic bird life including rare birds such as the Red Kite and the Peregrine falcon! There are rare farm breeds in the area and regular country shows and markets. Alternatively there are plenty of modern day attractions a short drive away such as water parks, adventure parks, farm parks, paintball, quad biking, go-karting, surfing, sailing, adrenalin boat trips and even a ski slope!
Whether visitors need a quiet relaxing holiday - walking, taking in the sea air and eating locally produced nutritious food (there is a great farm shop 2 miles away) - or a good base from which to explore West Wales, Bryn Berwyn offers excellent comfort and value all year round. The garage behind the house also serves as an office for the owner who is always available should any help or advice be required. Shops 1 mile.

The house caters for twenty people. We were a group of 10, who lived in absolute luxury, with three sittingrooms and two TVs. The single ladies amoungst us could enjoy separate double rooms to themselves, something which we cannot usually do. The exterior boasted a wonderful decked area, with raised terrace, which was a sun trap. There was also an eating area in the front area of the house. The price was very reasonable and we were extremely lucky with the fine weather all week. The walking was good and there was enough to interest everyone in the area from Aberystwyth to Cardigan and beyond. The owner was a very kind, helpful thoughtful man and so were his staff.

This is a brilliant house for a large family get together, the location to the beach is excellent for children although the road is quite steep. The bedrooms are ample and the ensuite to each room is excellent. The outside space is good for BBQs and outside eating with ample seating for everyone. It is definitely somewhere we will visit again. A lovely family kitchen makes morning breakfasts easy to accommodate little ones.

3 generations aged from 3 to 75 + 1 dog to celebrate a 70th Birthday. We had a great time, the house was perfect, so was the location. Well equipped kitchen and separate utility with storage space. Large dining room. Side courtyard to catch the morning sun and decking at the front of the house to sit in the afternoon sun or watch the sunset in the evening. We will certainly be coming back for future family celebrations.

Fantastic property in a beautiful location. Well equipped for a large group. Decking and patio for all day sun is a big bonus. Enjoyed by all from 1 - 87 years old

The only negative being the recycling regime, probably a bit too complicated compared to ours at home! Other than that a wonderful house in a superb location.
