A great getaway, being part of a 2,500-acre estate with stunning panoramic views and plenty of activities on-site.

Bryn Awel is an exquisite Grade II listed detached holiday cottage, the view from which is stunning with a panoramic outlook across the Upper Dee Valley. This is one of the most attractive valleys in the UK. As part of the 2,500-acre Crogen Estate, there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed such as walking and sightseeing with fishing and tennis by arrangement, and for the more adventurous, paint balling and high ropes. Golf can be found locally. Within 1½ miles there is an outstanding restaurant, pub and village shop. Bala Lake is only a short drive away and the sandy beaches of west Wales’ coastline are approximately 45 minute drive. Llangollen is a nearby town with its horse drawn barges, steam train and numerous festivals throughout the year. Shop 1½ miles.

We love this place so much that we have visited 3 times. Very cosy, always a very warm welcome from the owners, who this time were enormously helpful when we got snowed in.

We had a lovely fee days at this stunning little cottage and would definitely recommend. The only minor point was that the driveway needed repair as it scraped the bottom of the car-no issue if you have a high riding car but a no go for any low cars! Super location for exploring. The dogs also had a fantastic time :)

Absolutely beautiful wee cottage, great time, beautiful setting away from it all. Views to die for, everything you could need, cosy and the lovely Sarah looked after us with advice on what to do and where to go. Loved it and definitely going back.

We had a fabulous stay at Bryn Awel. It is ideally situated for fantastic walks that are literally on the doorstep. We managed some great walks, taking in the beautiful scenery. The view from the cottage across the valley is amazing. We also managed to see some lovely sunsets.
