Lovely Cottage. Good value for money for this time of year.

The cottage itself is marvellous and the kitchen couldn't be better stocked for cooking the Christmas dinner. As with old cottages, though, the upstairs floors are quite creaky. The lounge is huge and the log fire is brilliant in the long winter nights.

Great location for touring the Cotswolds, lovely quiet village with a superb pub. Cottage old and full of character, we had a few little gripes which the owner said they would address. Biggest thing missing (for us) was no internet access, a significant omission on a four star cottage.

A comfortable cottage, nice and warm, though one fire did not work. A suggestion is to make board games available for people to play. Had fun chasing away the spiders. Excellent pub near by for a meal.

Fab cottage in a lovely location, central to do so much and visit so many places. Lovely local pub. Only downside was strong smell of dog but given it had been raining and the cottage is pet friendly, should have been expected. This was our second visit so would definitely recommend

A great house in a fantastic location, a good combination of the old building and more modern extension gave a good combination of accommodation. There are a few very low beams, and some areas are dark, but we enjoyed staying there.

The cottage lacked a few homely touches. Also saucepan selection not very good. no soap in the bathrooms and a pint of milk in the fridge would have been appreciated. These are the items you expect as standard also no hair drier. Towels could have been bigger and fluffier I normal come back from holiday thinking its time I bought new towels. Local pub excellent and on the last day went there for breakfast

Very enjoyable, you feel at home and don't have to be too careful as you would feel if you were staying somewhere which looked like a showhome. Comfortabley usable.

We thought that the holiday was from sat to sat, not fri to fri, made that mistake left when cleaners turned up, out in 20 mins, then had the owners wanted £100 which was a no way hose scenario, considering that the overall cleanliness of the property was really bad the main double downstairs had a lot marks on the walll the doors were covered in cobwebs and stains from the hinges, there was dirty laundry in the wash room, 1 key for 6 people, the lamp shades were fulll of dust, the hearth was filthy full of ash and whatevers, cobwebs in every corner and especially behind the door into the living room and the settee nearest the walls, would not want to stay there again. I can appreciate my mistake on taking it was a saturday should have really checked the dates but hey no harm done, travelling on fridays in rush hour you must be kidding me wont make that mistake agan but in essence, no I would not want to stay there again 1 expensive pub, and a corner shop about 20 minutes down the road with expensive everything, :-( also so many signs dont do this dont do that !

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; This customer made their booking via the website therefore it is their responsibility to thoroughly read / acknowledge the property description and establish the suitability of the accommodation before confirming the booking. The £100 was requested as the cleaners had to come back to the property on the Saturday as they couldn’t gain access on the Friday when the guest was due to depart. I am sorry the guest had issues but at no time did they make contact during their stay therefore we were not given the opportunity to rectify them.

Stayed here for four nights with husband, elderly mum and son, who joined us from Australia. Cottage has quite a few steps, either into conservatory or downstairs bedroom, the stairs to bedrooms upstairs are quite steep. It was clean and plenty of towels. It was very cold in the cottage when we arrived, but soon warmed up with the night storage heaters etc. Had to empty dishwasher when we arrived and usually there is some kind of welcome pack, even if only tea bags and pint of milk - nothing here. Would benefit from having wi if to check area for places to go and restaurants to visit. Literature in cottage was out of date, also the handle on door to garden from conservatory broke off.

An extremely pretty cottage in a quiet location with beautiful surrounding countryside. There was ample parking at the property and a very pretty garden with a stream at the bottom. The cottage had a very attractive interior but was a little dated in places. There is an excellent pub within walking distance and the food was delicious. Dogs were permitted in the pub. The cottage is a great base to explore the Cottswold's and Stratford-upon-Avon.
