Enjoyed a wonderful stay at Brookwood. The cottage had everything we needed for a real 'home from home' holiday. Linda and Martin were friendly and helpful, available if we needed anything. The area was much more picturesque than we imagined it would be, great for walking locally and ideal for visiting the coast. Looking forward to our next visit!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Ideal for walking, access to the coast and North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Cottage very well equipped and owners went out of their way to provide us with a new high chair for our 8 month old son. Friendly owners and were there if you needed them, lovely welcome basket and flowers. Daughter loved the Llamas, horse and pig. Plenty of birds evident in and around the garden, all in all a lovely quiet, relaxing and peaceful holiday. Would not hesitate in returning or recommending to our friends.

We all had a lovely stay at Brookwood, set in a beautiful hamlet. The owners were professional and were very knowledgeable regarding the local area etc. We hope to return asap. Many thanks Lynne, Steve and our two doggies Darcy and Basil.

A beautiful cottage, well equipped and charmingly decorated. The fact that each bedroom comes with an en-suite made our family holiday just that much better (certainly easier every morning). We plan to return next year.

We stayed at Brookwood for a week at the end of August 2015. It is an absolutely beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We had our 2 children with us aged 5 and 10 who loved the paddock to play football and visit the llamas! A very nice touch is the welcome hamper which came in very useful and the flowers were lovely. The owners who live next door were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed without being intruding. Perfect spot for walking and the traditional local pub is something you rarely find these days, great for a rewarding drink or two after a days walking! All in all a lovely holiday and we will definitely return in the near future.

A really nice cottage in a great location. Good walking with the dog from the cottage and an interesting pub in the village.

Greeted on arrival by the owner with a nice cool bottle of beer, perfect after a long drive. The Cottage is tucked away in a small hamlet so very conducive to a peaceful and relaxing break. A generously filled welcome food basket and fresh flowers greeted us in the conservatory. The beds are very comfortable and the cottage is nice and clean throughout, with a very well equiped kitchen. Don't expect your mobile to work as practically no signal, but as we were away for some rest this was fine with us. There is a landline available if the need arises. Internet connection is good in the cottage. Lovely cottage garden to sit out in as well as a Summer house in the Guests own paddock area, to enjoy the peace (with the occasional steam train tooting as it passes through) and watch the large variety of birds that land. Do take insect repellant if you intend sitting in the garden during the evening, the trees and stream do attract them come dusk. Superb views of the North Yorkshire Moors can be seen walking or driving to the top of Beck Hole. Delightful tiny pub just a short walk away with a great pub snacks, a traditional sweet shop and a beer garden by the stream. All in all a perfect location and holiday home,

Ideal accommodation for party of 5 male walkers and Norman the labrador. Excellent welcome basket. Friendly and obliging owner on site for any queries/problems. Limited water pressure caused problems when wanting a bath, but this was our only concern. Already looking to book for next year
