Spend a relaxing morning at The Courts Garden (NT) or enjoy a riverside stroll in Bradford-on-Avon. Bath is 11 miles, where you can visit the famous Roman baths, sweeping Georgian crescents and Bath Abbey. The mighty Stonehenge and Avebury stone circles are within a short drive. See the flight of 27 locks at Caen Hill or hire a canal boat at Bradford-on-Avon or Devizes. Longleat Safari Park and Center Parcs (day passes available) can be found in Warminster. Stayed at this location twice before but unfortunately standards & cleanliness have dropped. Beds very comfortable. Carpet staines are noticeable in each room. This is a shame, as even though dated in decoration it was a excellent base to explore from.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I was very disappointed with this comment. I try my best and take great pride in leaving the property the best I can. I am open all year and I take up to 3 pets at a time. I recently have had several weeks of workmen stay and they have not left the property acceptable on any occasion. I am well aware the carpets need a clean, but I have quite a few bookings to get through first. I trust I will block off a few days so this can be rectified as soon as possible.

Great weekend. Beautifully furnished and superbly equipped. Although it did feel that we were visiting someone's home.

Another lovely holiday at Brookside. My sister and I will be booking again. We watched Westbury chimney being blown up, visited Cherrill and Morgans hill, there is so much to see and do in the area.

Very comfortable, clean, warm and well equipped. The whole house was quite dated but in an extremely positive way with quality furnishings. I can't praise it enough. However, would have liked a hairdryer and a couple of comfortable chairs for the outside area.
