This part of the Wear Valley is located between Durham City and the Lake District, an ideal base for touring High Force, Killhope Lead Mining Museum, Hadrian’s Wall, Hamsterley Forest and Beamish.     Nice break....cosy house.....all necessary equipment .......nearest main supermarket 44 mile round trip...local 'corner shop' CooP shuts 1.00pm Saturdays and closed Sundays.... WiFi would be good.....

    The cottage was in a beautiful location and we loved the fire. The village had a pub serving good meals. We would have liked a little more information about bin collection and recycling
