From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

Offering spacious accommodation and a games room, this rural property is just 15 minutes from the coast.

Set in large private gardens with a babbling brook running the perimeter, this six bedroomed detached property has been refurbished to a very high standard and makes the perfect place for a family gathering or simply to celebrate a special occasion. Tucked away in the tiny little hamlet of Allerston, just outside the picturesque market town of Pickering, visitors can board the North York Moors steam train and sit back and relax, whilst it chugs its way across some of Yorkshire’s most stunning countryside, through the Esk Valley and into Goathland, better known as Aidensfield in the TV series Heartbeat.
A 15-minute drive leads to the popular seaside resort of Scarborough with restaurants, cinemas, theatres and of course its beautiful sandy beaches affording the perfect family day out. A little further afield lies the historic port of Whitby, famed for its connections with Captain James Cook, cobbled streets, ginnels and alleyways packed with curio, antique and specialist shops, which are all overlooked by the abbey ruins. With the walled city of York offering a more sophisticated day out just a 30-minute drive, and historic castles, abbeys and beautiful gardens all found closeby, this truly is the ideal location at any time of the year. Shops 2½ miles, pub 5-minute walk.

The property location was hard to find. The cottage and surroundings were beautiful. Everyone in the party enjoyed the break.

Fab holiday cottage, great area and well thought out facilities. Biggest hits were the pool/games room and the duck-racing in the stream!

This cottage was of a very high standard, well equipt and spacious. There were extra personal touches that added to the experience - fresh milk and tea, biscuits, fresh flowers, a set of plastic ducks for a duck race in the beck. We went for a weekend break and were very happy, but this property would also be ideal for a week's holiday or a multi-generational family gathering, having bed- and bathrooms on both floors. Overall a gem of a property. Thank you.

The position, the grounds, the space and the room configuration all helped to make this a great get-away for our extended family. Three generations of our family made the most of the grounds and facilities during our weekend stay and we will be back to experience more of the local places of interest.

Well equipped property, not cheap. Owners rather stern and fussy.

Beautiful place but not so friendly neighbours. Well to be honest everyone is very friendly except for the next door neighbour who came and told us off for being loud on a Saturday at 9:30 PM which ruined the night as it was a birthday celebration. We had music on while having bbq and the music was coming from a small speaker (not so very loud) but still came to us and started shouting. If ur looking to go somewhere with silence yes perfect place. But if ur planing on going with friends to enjoy the garden and laugh ... Be careful. The handover for the keys is at 10AM which is really too early!! We spoke to the owner and they were kind enough to let us stay a little longer but even the cheapest hotels let you stay until 12. Picking up the keys wasn't as easy as it should have been as we were waiting 20 minutes for the owner to milk the cows and then decide and come and greet us. It should have been left somewhere on site but instead we had to walk around the owners land screaming to find someone that could answer and help. Owner does not give out mobile number so getting a hold of her could be tricky if she is not home!!

Only thing was there was no lighting when walking down the little lane towards the main road. They did provide torches but they didn't work. Other than that it was a great place. We had perfect phone signal but no wifi only 3G
