Description

Offering spacious accommodation and a games room, this rural property is just 15 minutes from the coast.

Set in large private gardens with a babbling brook running the perimeter, this six bedroomed detached property has been refurbished to a very high standard and makes the perfect place for a family gathering or simply to celebrate a special occasion. Tucked away in the tiny little hamlet of Allerston, just outside the picturesque market town of Pickering, visitors can board the North York Moors steam train and sit back and relax, whilst it chugs its way across some of Yorkshire’s most stunning countryside, through the Esk Valley and into Goathland, better known as Aidensfield in the TV series Heartbeat.
A 15-minute drive leads to the popular seaside resort of Scarborough with restaurants, cinemas, theatres and of course its beautiful sandy beaches affording the perfect family day out. A little further afield lies the historic port of Whitby, famed for its connections with Captain James Cook, cobbled streets, ginnels and alleyways packed with curio, antique and specialist shops, which are all overlooked by the abbey ruins. With the walled city of York offering a more sophisticated day out just a 30-minute drive, and historic castles, abbeys and beautiful gardens all found closeby, this truly is the ideal location at any time of the year. Shops 2½ miles, pub 5-minute walk.

A great place in a great location, ample room and duck racing is just the best fun with the kids! Not a lot in the actual village but loads of great places only minutes away.

Great place to stay within easy reach of places we wanted to re visit. Everything we needed was there and suitable for a party of four generations ranging in age from nearly 2 to 84. Really appreciated the stair gates.
