Had the most wonderful week at Brook Cottage. The location, the charm & character of the cottage was perfect......so comfortable, a real home from home & the garden & surroundings were beautiful. The only problem we had is that we didn't want to leave! Haha! Thoroughly recommend & we hope to return one day.

We had the most amazing 3 nights in Brook Cottage. The cottage is so quaint and in the most gorgeous little village. The field and stream in front of the little house make you feel like you are truly in the countryside and make you relax straight away. Our nightly walks to the pub in the next village were such fun as we passed beautiful fields with sheep and rolling hills. I would definitely reccomend this for a small family or for a group of 4 close friends.

Very nice character property in nice hamlet - good location as well. Only down points that I can think of is that heating and insulation is substandard to the point that I would not recommend staying in winter.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review and I am so sorry you were not warm. Usually the Cottage is warm and cosy but unfortunately the storage and convector heater in the lounge broke down. We were unaware of this; otherwise we would have put in some temporary heating. A brand new storage and convector heater was installed on 27th February (2016) and the Cottage is once again warm and cosy.

Everything about the cottage was wonderful - location, lay out, size, cleanliness, basics provided for on arrival, ease of booking, cost, comfort of beds etc. etc. The ONLY thing that let it down was the exceedingly poor shower. It is so bad that I was there for 3 nights and couldn't wash my hair as the water pressure was paltry, and the temperature would vary from freezing cold to scalding. It was really disappointing as nothing better after a good long country walk than a lovely hot refreshing shower. However, the rest of it really was great so I would stay there again, but only for a few nights so I could go without washing my hair.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review and I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Brook Cottage. I am sorry about the problem you experienced with the shower, since your visit we have installed a completely new shower, the water pressure in the village isn’t fantastic but the new shower has considerably improved the flow.

Really lovely cosy cottage. Not a lot of phone signal at the house which was ok for a few days. Loved the fire and with all the heating, we didn't get cold at all. The area is lovely and a good location for some lovely day trips. We would have been interested in some history of the cottage.
