We loved this property but the broken fence on the farmer's side invited sheep to explore the greener pastures of the garden and our inquisitive terrier found the visiting sheep too tempting so he unfortunately had to be kept on a lead. Want to return very much but would prefer the garden to be sheep free....

A lovely house with a beautiful garden. Well equipped. Plenty of room for our party of 8. Only downside was the dishwasher was out of order and the fridge had been left very dirty. We had to clean it throughly before we could use it.

Brook Cottage is a delightful holiday home. I would recommend it to any group/ family looking for a well equipped, clean and comfortable house. Books, games, DVDs, a slightly out of tune piano - everything we could possibly need. A welcoming bottle of wine - one of the little touches that we really appreciated and we left the cork on the kitchen rafter with all the others! The large garden is great for children. T

We had a lovely week, despite the weather being wet pretty much every day. The cottage is lovely; spacious but homely and well equiped. The garden too is wonderful. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brook Cottage.

Fantastic cottage and location. Perfect for a family holiday away from it all. This was our third stay and we've already booked our 4th..

We loved the cottage, we dropped the comfort and equipment down to a 9 as we struggled with the rayburn, although looks nice and fits in with the cottage, would prefer more modern heating. The photo's don't do the cottage justice, it was better than expected and the size of the cottage was a surprise. (bigger than expected) The garden is beautiful, we have 2 young children and 2 dogs, and they loved being in the garden as it was so big. It would have been slightly more relaxing for us if the brook had more fencing/barrier, as we were concerned the dogs could have crossed and got in with the sheep. However the cottage does advertise the brook at the bottom of the garden. We had no issues with the trains (complained about in previous reviews) as they are far enough away not to bother you, but the kids loved spotting them in the distance. We loved the fact that you are completely detached from any other property, the feeling of being right in the countryside is Brook Cottage's charm. There are two pubs close by, one in walking distance both are in the welcome book and we would highly recommend them. We are planning our next visit to the cottage, hopefully in the nicer weather to appreciate the full layout/charm of what Brook Cottage is all about.
