we had an amazing stay in this quirky cottage. our car broke down on our first day which ment we had to stay in, but im so glad we did as it was so cosy relaxing by the fire. our 11year old's had a great time on the piano and the garden is lovely for exploring. we will definitely stay here again.

This is the 5th time we have stayed at Brook Cottage and as usual it didn’t disappoint. It was lovely to spend Christmas here and really nice to find the house decorated and with a Christmas tree! Would highly recommend.

This was the fourth time we’ve stayed in brook cottage . As always it felt warm, cosy and relaxing . The beds were very comfortable . We took my sister and brother in law there for their Golden Wedding Anniversary, they brought their Golden Retriever with them, who thoroughly enjoyed exploring the garden . We will definitely be back next year as this has become a family tradition now , and I can’t think of any other cottage I would want to stay in .

We all thoroughly enjoy staying there. It was our third visit. As someone who sleeps downstairs I find the sofabed uncomfortable and the room a little chilly.

This cottage exceeded our expectations. The garden was huge and secure. Our two dogs loved it. The cottage was well eqippped and very comfortable. The location was on a quiet lane and minimal noise if any. Although there was a wet room, it would have benefitted from another shower. There was only two of us but this would have been an issue under full occupancy. Overall I would highly recommend staying here. A great base in which to discover this beautiful county.

Due to low water pressure in the cottage there was not enough water to run two showers so it took six adults 2 hours every morning to just get ready to leave the cottage! This made setting off to visit different attractions difficult. We had to be careful when we used the dishwasher or toilets if a shower was running as there was not enough water to do two things at once. The floor of our bedroom was so old it sloped to one end and the bed was on blocks of wood to level it out....but unfortunately there was still a 2 inch difference on the bed and it felt like you were falling out all night. Eventually we found another piece of wood to help the situation.

This cottage had everything that you could need to help make your stay perfect. The photos do not do the cottage justice - the rooms were all of good size and the finishings were to a high standard. The coffee machine was a delightful addition!

Brook Cottage is a lovely old cottage that had plenty of room for everyone. My children loved the old cottage features and their rooms. The cottage was well equipped and had everything that we needed. Unfortunately the cottage was a bit dirty in places, I had to wash cutlery, plates and baking trays before use. The corner table in the kitchen we had de cobweb before the girls could sit there which was strange as people were in there the day we left! The downstairs bathroom was a huge bonus with 5 of us staying there however it was a bit strange in the set up as once somebody uses the shower the toilet then can't be used as it is under the shower and wet. A couple of times we dried it all up only to have the shower release water onto it again! The cottage was a bit further out the village then we expected but we were happy to drive to the local amenities. The pub in the village was lovely and served fantastic food, however we were unable to just walk to it. We also found it a bit risky getting on and off the driveway, as it was on the bend some vehicles came round a little too fast and you just cant see them coming. Our car is a large one and turning it round on the driveway was not easy! Overall we had a fun holiday at Brook cottage .
