Clean and cosy cottage, in a good place for exploring the surrounding area or just local walks. Tucked away but not too far from obtaining essentials ,ie petrol and provisions. Also there is lots to see without having to drive far. We liked it because it was dog friendly and you could walk the dog directly from the cottage up a forest track. Very well supplied with guide books and maps too.

Our thanks to Colum and Karen who were there if we needed anything but invisible when we didn't. We thoroughly recommend this cottage if you want peace and tranquility, yet the village is half a mile away on the shores of Loch Fyne. We had half a week of poor weather and the other half hot sunshine. There is plenty all around to do whatever the weather.

The cottage was clean and spacious. Lovely big garden with running stream at back. Well equipped kitchen , so great for proper self catering. Great base for days out in the area. The only downside and small grumble is the fact that house heating requires you to make a fire each time you want the radiators on. There are no instructions , so if you don't have this skill , it's going to be cold. The garden is lovely and spacious but for some reason there is a large decaying caravan packed with junk parked in the middle. Not very attractive . Overall , great base and good size but a few further tweeks and this could be even better.

Enjoyed our break at Brondeg Lodge, cottage was clean, well equiped, only the beds were not the comfiest. Fantastic enclosed garden for our dog, he was happy exploring the mature gardens. The private road up from the main street was like off roading. We went our daily and visited, Oban, Lochgiliphead, Inverary, Tarbert, Campletown, beautiful scenery.
