Description

North Yorks Moors Steam Railway and Scarborough with its many attractions are close by, and Whitby easily reached.

These four apartments (NM15, 14426, 17265 & NM1404) have been created from the picturesque old station house at Brompton by Sawdon that was on the Scarborough to Pickering Line; with views across the cricket pitch to the Yorkshire Wolds. Ideal for a diverse holiday, they are close to both the North York Moors National Park and the glorious Heritage coastline. There is much to see and do. Walk along the cliff tops on the Cleveland Way, visit the picturesque coastal villages and historic Whitby; enjoy the attractions of Scarborough, 8 miles away, or travel on the North Yorks Moors Steam Railway from Pickering, 8 miles away. The village itself has a famous church, Wordsworth was married here. The apartments face south and open onto a beautiful, landscaped garden with a barbecue area, which is the perfect place to relax after a day’s exploration. Shops and excellent tea rooms are just a short walk away. Pub 2 miles.

All on ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Brompton is full of character as a disused railway station. It has been sensitively converted as a holiday home, but keeping the feel of a country railway station. Beautiful gardens cover the old railway track with a wonderful view of the local Cricket pitch and the Yorkshire Wolds as a backdrop. It is cosy & comfortable but could use some modernisation. Décor is rather dated. However it is kept spotlessly clean and the owners are the perfect hosts. The nearby village is charming and the main towns of Scarborough and Pickering are just a short drive away with all the amenities that they offer. A perfect base for a charming and peaceful break in 'God's own County'.

A peaceful location with great views of countryside. Cottage very clean and well equipped . Not all the rooms have radiators but the electric heaters are more than adequate

The cottage is slightly off the beaten track, but quiet and relaxing. It had everything we needed.

Lots of flies from farm next door. Not suitable for our disabled needs.
