Very old and uncomfortable mattress in double room with springs sticking up so poor nights sleep. Also flood lights from farm go on around 5am shining directly into bedrooms so blackout curtains or blinds needed. Great location to explore the area. We had a dog so would have preferred one of the cottages with direct access to the garden (garden was small walk away)

Very well appointed cottage, very clean, lots of room, ideal surroundings, very helpful and friendly owners, WiFi wasn't great but not a major concern.

We are a family of 5 and we stayed here for 4 nights during August 2017. The directions given to find the property were helpful as GPS only takes you so far. Paul met us as soon as we arrived and showed us around and ensured we were ok. Cedar cottage was ideal for our needs and with 3 teenage boys they had enough space. We had already stocked up on breakfast things at Asda in Cheedle before arriving. There is a small local shop 1 mile away if you need to. It is convenient for Alton towers which was our main reason for being here but there are so many other places of interest around to suit most tastes. Bakewell is certainly a place we enjoyed.
