Description

Situated near Wellington, Brimley Barn is a three bedroom property close to Exmoor National Park and Jurassic Coast.

This cosy single-storey, detached cottage nestles in the rolling hills on the Somerset/Devon border. Kittisford village is hidden away but within easy reach of the local pub and shop/café, and is a great retreat from which to visit all that the area has to offer. Beautifully restored, this slate barn is set in the grounds of the owner’s 7½-acre home and is the perfect place to put your feet up, or get out and about in the surrounding countryside. The property has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard. It has its own private, lawned garden and a cosy wood burner in the living room to snuggle up in front of. There are three bedrooms, one double with en suite and two singles. Perfect for families or couples who like their own private space whilst still holidaying together. The garden and patio are ideal for eating outside and it gives your children somewhere to play. There is a separate area for exercising your dog. There are many National Trust and other historic properties close by, and it’s a scenic drive to Exmoor National Park and the Jurassic Coast. Ideal for walking, cycling and birdwatching, garden visits or having a nice lazy holiday. Shop/café 1½ miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

beautiful barn, comfortable & clean. In wonderful quiet location. Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues as 2 deep / steep steps to bedrooms & bathrooms. Also steep track up to barn not suitable for cars with low clearance

This property is definitely in a rural setting and quite difficult to find as the satnav does not take you to the property, once found though it is a little piece of heaven, wonderfully quiet very nicely decorated and very clean and well equipped, the owners are very attentive but not intrusive and my friends and I will hopefully be returning for a break next year.

Lovely holiday barn, however in the middle of nowhere literally doesn't make this clear when booking, also on arrival there was no milk or any basics so could even have a cup of tea after travelling. Owners were great and really willing to help. 4 days was long enough to enjoy! Definitely wouldn't say would be family friendly!

We found the lane very difficult. Needs a 4x4. We developed a year in a tyre which was difficult on a Sunday. Great place for children, 10 year old would like to go again but a bit too challenging for the rest of us townies!
