Lovely stay, even in the snow, but didn't realise it was quite so far down a very pot holey track/ bridle path. Website says about low cars and gulleys but not about how unmade it is for a non 4x4.? Have to straddle huge holes and made worse in snow /icy conditions. Had to leave car at top in nature reserve car park and walk with bags uphill. Owners very helpful with offering to carry bags and know weather was unusually adverse the weekend we were there. Am sure in spring/summer it is easier access to cottage. Having said this, it was a beautiful , clean, spacious cottage, and we would definitley visit again. Only thing missing, possibly because I'm used to one, a dishwasher?

A lovely presented property in a quiet secluded spot. The access lane is a bit tricky to negotiate but you do get used to it after a few times. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The wood burner is great and adds the cosy feel to the place. There was plenty of space for us in the living areas and the shower was nice and powerful too.

Wonderful holiday just one ;problem for me is that it would have been handy to have a bath rail fixed to the righthandside of bath as I suffer with a knee problem, just somethingto steady ones self by.

This is a very nice cottage in a lovely quiet setting - if you are after peace and quiet it's ideal. Our kids really enjoyed the chickens, ducks and the lovely old collie who came up every day from the owners house for a stroke. Its a very pleasant location. Sadly it rained every day so we couldn't explore the vicinity too much but I ran a few times in the Trinity Hill reserve and it was lovely, probably a lot better when the sun shines. The cottage was lovely and welcoming, and had everything we needed. There was a good selection of dvds, books and games as well. There was no wi-fi, some people had mentioned it in the guest book, but it was a holiday and for us it was a godsend! The kids never mentioned it once either. It's close to Lyme Regis, which we loved - free tours at the medieval water mill, lovely beach and harbour, nice selection of local shops - it really was very charming. Exeter was only half an hour away or so, with loads to do there (visit the medieval tunnels,my 7 year old lad hasn't stopped talking about them). Charmouth was only ten minutes away and we loved fossil hunting there. All in all it was comfy, well located and quiet, we will be back without doubt.
