Perfect for a relaxing holiday, Brightwell Barn offers the ideal base to retreat after a day exploring the dramatic beauty of North Cornwall.

This lovely, quaint cottage offers a cosy and welcoming environment, complete with a wood burner, and has been thoughtfully furnished with your comfort in mind. Nestled within a rural part of Cornwall, just 10 minutes away from the A30, this semi-detached cottage is situated in the grounds of Treglasta Manor. The garden offers beautiful views of Bodmin Moor and Rough Tor, and guests can enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sun set over ’Poldark country’. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the area has also been awarded Dark Sky status.
Brightwell Barn is the perfect hideaway for couples or a small family, and is only within 10 miles of Tintagel, Boscastle and the breathtaking beaches and coastal walks of Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven. The sea and harbour front restaurants of Port Isaac (where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed), including a Michelin star one, and Widemouth Bay are a leisurely 15-20 minute drive away. Wadebridge, Padstow and Rock are a 30-40 minute drive.
This stunning location is perfect for exploring Cornwall, with plenty of walking and cycling opportunities close by, or why not visit the high tors of Bodmin Moor. Trethorn Golf Course is just 7 miles away, and pony trekking can be found at Boscastle. Just a short drive away is a farm shop where visitors can enjoy a cream tea or light lunch, and purchase local produce. Award-winning fish and chips can be found in nearby Camelford. We had a great family holiday at this lovely little cottage. The log burner is a real bonus! Nice comfy beds and the kitchen is well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

Well what can you say that's bad about this cottage...NOTHING! We were welcomed by scones, cream and jam, and were treated to a relaxing 5 days. Beautiful views (depending on weather) very comfortable bed, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the whole cottage beautifully restored with lots of thoughtful touches. I was reluctant to write a review as I wanted to keep this place a secret! Only 6 miles from Camelford which is handy for shops and the best fish and chips ever!! I would return there in a heartbeat.
