Excellent second visit, helped by superb weather. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. Such a shame the local pub had burnt down but hopefully it will be restored, as it's a nice evening walk from the cottage, once you've left the road.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thanks for your lovely review - it is great that you returned to the cottage for a further stay. The Ingham Swan will undergo a rebuild in 2018, which will be great as it is such a lovely pub/restaurant. However the Star at Lessingham serves really good pub grub at very reasonable prices and is either a short drive or we sometimes walk via local fields.

A home from home cottage. A real escape from it all. Perfect for a family of 4. The children were really impressed too. Very clean, and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The cottage has lovely little touches that make you feel welcome. The owners give very good instructions on how to use the heating and hot water so we had no problem.

A lovely cottage which made a perfect base for our family holiday. The cottage was very well equipped with everything that we needed, and more! The beds were very comfortable and we loved how quiet the property was. We would rebook this cottage again.

The Cottage was clean and well furnished with excellent kitchen equipment, especially the slow cooker! The heating was controlled by the owner remotely. This meant that it was less than comfortable in the front room. We would have appreciated another source of heat in the instead of having to light a fire. We had no hot water on the first morning until we realised that the timer had been switched off. This we later discovered this in the instructions. We enjoyed our stay in Briar Cottage and the amount of information provided was very helpful. There were also some very useful extras such as hand wash and hand lotion . The private garden was attractive and very well cared for.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. To clarify the comment on the heating, guests can switch this on if the weather is cooler - it is simply not programmed to come on automatically in the summer. The smart plugs that work through the internet mean that we can turn the heating on remotely if we need to.
