Really pleasant cottage, perfect for a short break. Prosecco nice gesture but would prefer a small welcome pack i.e. Loaf of bread, milk, etc

Comfortable, well equipped and really very attractive cottage. One of the nicest we've stayed in. Inside the cottage is perfect. The only negative for a dog-friendly cottage is that the tiny garden area isn't enclosed, contrary to the description. With so many lovely dog walks right on your doorstep, you don't really need a garden though.

The property and location were great. We really liked the cottage and it was well appointed. The weather wasn't great, so we didn't get to experience the cute garden out the back. Great central area for exploring the main tourist spots in the Cotswolds. Lovely little café in the village. The property was very clean overall, but there were just a few things that required a deep clean. We always go for a cottage with a washing machine and dish washer. There was thick black mould in the detergent drawer and underneath it, going down into the machine. I tried to clean it, but couldn't manage to get to the sides underneath the drawer. I think the machine is just very old and could really do with being replaced. We ended up having to pay to do our washing at the launderette. There was a thick black greasy residue between the dishwasher and the bottom of the door. I cleaned most of this off, but once again this required more attention and didn't want to spend my time cleaning whilst on holiday. We wouldn't have expected the cleaners to pick up on these two issues, so thought it best to highlight to be remedied for future guests. There was also deeply ingrained mould in the hard to tackle crevices in the shower. Once again, these are deep cleaning issues, that the owner probably needs to pay extra for and should be easily remedied. One of first things we said when we entered the property, was that it would be lovely to stay there at Christmas, what with the log burner. The only thing that would put us off was that the double bedroom radiator doesn't work. This was highlighted in the visitor's book in October, but does not appear to have been rectified. If these easy to fix issues were addressed, then we would totally recommend this property. We only marked the property down slightly due to the washing machine, dishwasher, shower and radiator. Other than that, the property is very clean indeed and a home from home.
