Don’t get me wrong this is a lovely place. We would stay again. We went in late October/November so not sure what prices would be in peak season. We would have loved a wood burning stove. With a bit of supply of wood. The central heating was adequate enough though. Comfort, we found the sofas to be a little tired, yes comfy to a certain degree, but maybe a little upgrade would be lovely. The breakfast bar stools were also in need of upgrading, couple didn’t work and not great in comfort to sit on. (Don’t wanna be mean, just honest) Mattresses could have been firmer, also felt they were tired. Had a really sore back after two nights sleep. Bathroom was nice and spacious, blue LED lights make it harder to see though. So that’s about it from the house. Local amenities.... oh my not a hotel, cafe, pub open at all !! I thought this was so disappointing. We hoped for somewhere at least were we could go in, enjoy a meal and a pint or 3. Not one single place open...... thank god for the spar in the Main Street.

Described as a semi detached cottage, this house shares the garden space and parking space with the neighbour. Work up every morning to them leaving the house for work at half past 5! Felt uncomfortable about sitting outside. We do like our privacy and one of the reasons we don't stay in hotels or B&B. Excellent location although Arisaig is a quite place so if you like it slightly busier then stay nearer to Mallaig. Beautiful coastline.

Brace Hoose is a very comfortable cottage located on a beautiful part of the west coast. We enjoyed a great week, walking and canoeing, despite the wet weather.

Heating hard to use and control. Kitchen poorly equipped for a weeks stay. The bathroom had low lighting and a floor that was extremely slippery with any water on it. No bath mats so I had to use t-shirts on the floor to step onto exiting the shower although wet bath mats were found in the washing machine half way through the week!! More expensive and less well appointed than previous properties we have stayed in.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- The heating is very simple to use, you just press the button with heating on it, to control heating in every room you just turn the control on the radiator, as set out in house instructions. Bathroom lighting is low level led for effect, except for mirror light which you pull to start. Bath mats were in the cupboard as always, the bathroom is fully tiled so obviously you have to take care walking around as you would in any fully tiled bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped and conforms to Wyndham vacations itemised list and more. The majority of guests staying at Brae House appreciate the time, effort and expense we put into the property, looking at all our other reviews we are confident we present an excellent property.
