Bounty lies just yards from the beach, accessed by a private single lane to the front of the house, with glorious uninterrupted views of the sea. An ideal base for a family holiday or get together with friends, Bounty has French doors that open onto a decked sea-facing terrace, an ideal spot to indulge in breakfast and a good book. The first floor living room has doors that open onto a balcony where, as the sun sinks slowly behind the horizon, the lights of Whitstable itself can be seen twinkling and reflecting on the water. There is also a double sofa bed in this room where you will be able to wake up and see the sea! Take a stroll or cycle into Whitstable and explore the twisty turning lanes which all lead to the sea, and were once the haunt of smugglers. Explore the quirky shops and select a piece of artwork from the plethora of art galleries as a memento of your holiday. Indulge in an oyster supper, or select some fish to barbecue from the harbour where the days catch is landed. Historic Canterbury is well worth a visit, take a boat out seal spotting from Herne Bay, just along the coast. Good train connections to London for additional sightseeing opportunities. Indoor leisure pool in Whitstable. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

    We had a great week in Bounty,3adults 3children and plenty of room.We spent a lot of time on the balcony looking out to sea. The sofas where very comfy and all furnishings where clean. we have been to many seaside cottages and this was one of the better ones with the best view.

    The chalet was in a gorgeous location, the heating needs repairing, it was switched off but still came on. Also, there were no empty cupboards to put our food therefore we had to put bits on the worktops which then gave us no space at all.

    The locations of the house is amazing and is the real star here. It's a lovely spot and the pictures don't do the location justice. Also amazing is the parking. 4 or maybe 5 cars. Ellen was also great in her communication. Very easy to get hold of and very friendly. We would return in the futute due to these factors but would be worried that unless the negatives below are looked at, that the house would be left behind the standards that I would expect. Negatives. The bathrooms and kitchen need a lot of work. The kitchen is well stocked for plates, glasses etc but the draws in some if the units were broken, the built in microwave did not work (a replacement has been added but take up surface space), the built in fridge really struggled to keep things cool and we went in October (a replacement has been added but takes up more surface space and is very limited for space). The plates and glasses were plentiful but very mix and match. Less but better quality would have been a big improvement. Bathroom wise. The downstairs bath is only. 3/4. Needs to be full size. The shower is only a handheld rather than a full shower. Upstairs the shower unit is very small (if you turn it on with the shower head at the angle you want the jet comes out the door). The towels and bedding were all low quality. If towels are given then i'd expected good quality rather than mix and match. All bedding and downstairs double bed could do with replacing. The contents of the house overall is very low and I'd expect better. There is a lot of contents tho but most of this is personal items and knick- knacks that really are not needed in a holiday let. The house seems more set up for the owners to use rather than the paying punter. The hot water also takes a fair time to come to heat. Was not coming at all without the gas water heater on so turned that on , despite the note saying not to and this helped but would not expect to have to mess with the heating. Just leave both on the gas ready to go. Downstairs layout could also be changed to make the most of the space. We did not really use the sun room. Last thing. Notes. Lots of notes around the house. Would be so much easier to have one professionally produce guidebook to the house including recycling and bins as this was an issue for us during our stay. Everything in 1 place makes lots more sense.
