This light, cosy, semi-detached property will appeal to couples looking for a peaceful retreat, yet convenient and within easy reach of the main road networks.

Bostreath is perfect for couples looking for a comfortable, peaceful location as it is set in a quiet, rural hamlet close to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. This semi-detached, single-storey conversion (originally a cart shed) is ideal for exploring the rugged north coast which is popular with surfers (Newquay is 7 miles away) or the calmer sailing waters of the south coast, including Falmouth with its busy port and prestigious marina’s, home of the National Maritime Museum and calendar of sailing, music and food events. The two castles built by Henry VI at St Mawes and Pendennis Point are both open to visitors and run by English Heritage. The picturesque Helford River and creeks have many scenic woodland walks with wildlife to spot and lovely quiet beaches. The area has some of Cornwall’s leading sub-tropical gardens and National Trust properties, including Trelissick Garden, Trebah, Glendurgan, The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Just a short drive away is the beautiful cathedral city of Truro, which offers great shopping, cinema, theatre, bowling, bars and restaurants. Shop 2½ miles, pub 2 miles.

Bostreath is a small one bedroomed cottage that proved to be quite cosy in the lounge/kitchen. The kitchen was more than well equiped with everyone you need and all the appliances were working well. The bathroom was fine with lovely hot water, however, it is quite dark as it is at the back. The bedroom is nice but the sheets did not look very appealing, they were off colour and would have looked better if they had been ironed. As they needed ironing it looked as if someone had already slept in the bed so if we went again we would take our own sheets. the cottage overall we felt was far too cluttered with tables, vases, too many stools etc. We felt it just needed a bit of tender loving care and the clutter gone to make it look more bright and airy. The view from the cottage is beautiful and if you are looking for a quite off the beaten track sort of break then this is the place to be. It is about 2 miles along single track roads to reach the main A30. It is about as central as you can get for travelling Cornwall.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review of Bostreath. We are pleased to hear that you found us cosy and well equipped. The cottage is bright and airy and the object de Art are all Made in Cornwall to create a truly special feel. We are always looking to make our property more comfortable for our guests and have recently bought brand new M&S bed sheets, we are sorry that they were not to your liking. Thank you for the lovely comments that you left in our Guestbook and we are glad that you enjoyed the welcome gift of wine and chocolate.

Very lovely cottage. Location is quite central, which is why we booked here, but is a bit out of the way, eg. No village to have a walk round, you need to drive everywhere. I would recommend this cottage to any couple wanting to visit Cornwall
