Welsh Country Cottages

From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

This charming cottage with a balcony and a woodburner is a perfect year round location, ideal for exploring mid and south Wales.

Cuckoo Springs Cottages are just 4 miles from beautiful, unspoilt beaches, the Pembrokeshire/Cardigan coastal path, quaint seaside villages and smugglers’ coves. St David’s and Tenby to the south, and New Quay and Aberaeron to the north are just a little further afield. The three cottages (refs ONA, OWS and OWT) are situated on the owner’s smallholding and guests can experience the ‘good life’, help with their rare breed animals, meet the pet pig Ollie and let Sam, one of the horses, take guests for a pony and trap ride. Alternatively, enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this secluded wooded valley, and simply relax in the large garden or stroll through the owner’s bluebell woods and enjoy stunning views across the valley. The cottages date back to the 1700s, are decorated in a comfortable, country farmhouse style and all have wood-burning stoves. Bluebell Cottage and Orchid Cottage have a bathroom and en-suite shower room, making them ideal for families or two couples sharing. Bluebell Cottage also has a large four-poster bed and Juliet balcony, perfect for that romantic break. Champagne, chocolates and a pampering spa session can all be arranged for that special occasion. Free range eggs and home produced meat are often available, and there is plenty of space for dogs to run free, with delightful walks straight from the door. Shop 1 mile, pub within 1 mile.

Part of an 18th-century converted stone barn, this charming cottage is full of history with its balcony, exposed stonework and beams signed and dated 1782. The living space is light, airy and upstairs to take advantage of the lovely views over the paddock and woodland. Double bedroom with four-poster bed and en-suite shower room with deluge shower and toilet. Twin bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. First floor: Beamed living/dining room with exposed stone walls, wood-burning stove, balcony and beamed kitchen.

Fabulous! 2nd time I've stayed at Bluebell cottage in less than 6 months because I fell in love with the place the first time around. Can't fault the accommodation and the owners. The area is stunning too.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage and environment were fantastic. The owners really care about the quality of their guests stay and were very welcoming.

Lovely cottage. Only problem was the bathrooms. There was hair on all the surfaces that had been wiped over. It looked as if the cloth that had been used to clean had hair on, and it ended up around the basins and the toilets.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the Owner; I have apologised personally to Jackie for this unforgiveable lapse in our usually meticulously high standard, we usually score between 9 and 10 for cleanliness. I must have done the final polish round without my glasses, should have gone to Specsavers!

Enjoyed a weeks stay in a comfortable and cosy cottage,Mike and Julie made us very welcome showing us their animals which were friendly and entertaining my daughter enjoyed going to visit them each day. Very lucky as the weather was kind which allowed us to visit several of the beaches along the coast, one of the nicest coastlines we have visited.
