Really enjoyed my stay. A very cosy, private cottage and I felt at home. There are cafes, pubs and shop a couple of miles away. Internet access would be a benefit. However, I would definitely stay again.

Clean and in a good location but seriously needs wi-fi so bring a guide book, no internet here to check up on directions or things to do:( The boxes of leaflets were really out of date and unhelpful. To turn the cooker on you have to set the clock on it, something we had to work out for ourselves, the instructions were not clear. There's a step at the front door that needs marking out to stop accidents.A bottle of bleach and some cleaning products would have been useful in the bathroom. The French doors are sticking and the lock needs lubricating. The outdoor garden area is seriously lacking - only a table with long benches and two chairs - a barbeque would be a useful addition for the summer.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments - You are correct in saying that the cottage has no internet and is advertised as such. The back patio area has recently been replanted and has a brand new large bench table as well as a stone bench and two chairs which provide a selection of seating options. Also disposable barbecues are available locally in Dunvegan for those who are so inclined. The information box was updated within the last year and we do provide clear instructions on how to set the clock on the cooker in the event of a power cut. Also we have never had a problem with the step down onto the patio at the front of the property. Indeed this passed building control when I renovated the property 10 years ago. I shall endeavour to rectify the patio door sticking issue. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

2nd new year at this property was absolutely amazing again has just been freshened up with new carpets and a lick of paint. The location is perfect there are 2 other cottages fairly close but in the whole week there we never seen or heard anyone. There is a hotel just down the road and Dunvegan is a 5 min drive away with plenty of local shops and bakeries etc. Cottage has everything you would need equipment wise. Underfloor heating in the bathroom is really good whilst the bath is enormous.

Beautiful cottage, very well equipped and lovely to have a very welcome tea tray on arrival.we love this cottage especially the real fire. The only small thing on the downside would be that the outside of the cottage could do with a lick of paint and the garden needs some tlc

Blossom Cottage easily ticks the boxes for clean, comfortable and cosy, and if you're there in the winter to do climbing, it may well suit. Sadly it does not, and never could have views of the Cuillins or McLeods Tables unless you step up onto a wall and climb a small grassy hillock. The French windows basically look out onto a yard with two chairs, a wooden table with a badly broken plinth and many large weeds. The carpets are extremely tired (lost their colour), the curtains in front of the French windows, despite a note in the book many weeks back, hang about 2ins (5cm) lower in the middle and the Dyson has nearly expired. Our TV picture disappeared one windy night - common weather for Skye.

The picture shown above is very misleading and out of date. The garden is quite over grown and "wild" and the photo makes it look as if the views from the cottage are open. They are not. I think the garden and rear terrace really let the cottage down. The bathroom is lovely. Bedroom looked lovely when we arrived. I was expecting the bed to be a king size but it is only a double and we didn't find the mattress very comfortable and it was very hot. Very quiet position which we enjoyed. Quite a few cobwebs, carpets a bit thread bare and grubby. Quite expensive.
