First impressions are important and we arrived on a cold wet December afternoon to find no heating on and even after following the owner's instructions couldn't get it to work; nor could we light the wood burner as the logs were damp! The owner did see us the next day and supplied fresh logs which were fine and we finally worked out that the room thermostats had been turned off. On the plus side we found the bed very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The location is very quiet and we had a relaxing stay which was what we needed.

Situation a little too remote for us.Kitchen was well equipped. However the appliances were too complicated for us to use.we did eventually master the hob and microwave. Why couldn't more simple, and no doubt cheaper, appliances have been installed?.Also,it was not pleasant to sit outside, due to the sewage smell coming from the drain.

Lovely property. As we are a family with a 9 month old we did a lot of cooking. We could have done with a bit more cutlery and a big pot to cook with for the oven. This is being picky as we did manage but would have made life easier. Great that we could bring the dog. Usually accommodation like this isn't as nice when dogs are allowed.
