The property was great, the only issues were that the ovens didn't get hot enough and the fridges didn't get cold enough. This was a problem when cooking for 16 at every meal.

We stayed here as our daughter got married from the house in nearby village of Coxwold. It was perfect for us as family and wedding party came to stay too. The space was just right plenty of room to spread out and the pool was brilliant to keep the children amused. Location is ideal with lovely local villages and towns on the doorstep. It was clean and everything you need for a big gathering.

booked for a family holiday. Good living space and kitchen equipment. Would have liked a DVD in the kitchen/living room. The wifi strength was quite weak but overall the holiday was a success and we enjoyed staying there. York was a great place to visit and there are plenty of shopping retail parks and places to visit. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and the shared rota worked well.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although the cookers were challenging. One grill worked, the hot plates on one cooker kept switching off when we were cooking. Bearing in mind there was 18 of us we could have done with both cookers. We had a two year old with us who enjoyed going up and down the stairs, we were disappointed there were no gates. Included in the booking was a cot and a highchair this tells there was a very young one with us.

Loved the property. Very clean on arrival. Bathrooms high quality. Kitchen ovens and hobs needed to be bigger for such a large group. Ovens somewhat temperamental and perhaps towards the end of useful life. Caretaker service A1. Outside area would benefit from a grassed area too (instead of all gravel) to give younger children an outside play space.

A beautiful house, sympathetically converted to modern day expectations, which was slightly marred by poor quality furniture in bedrooms, eg some chests of drawers not robust enough, and consequently difficult to use. In some rooms, a light near a dressing table mirror would have been helpful. But these are minor problems in the light of the whole set up. Swimming pool was a great asset, much enjoyed by whole family.
