Cottage was lovely and spacious albeit a weird layout. However, this was let down by the fact it was absolutely filthy. Within 10 minutes of my 1 year old nephew crawling around in the kitchen waiting for the rest of the group to arrive his bare feet and hands were filthy. Upon closer inspection all the carpets had bits all over them from crushed sea shells to plastic tags you get that hold labels on to new clothes. There were lots of cob webs and you could write your name in the tiles in one of the bathrooms. There was also faeces splattered up one of the pedestals in one of the bathrooms. Everyone slept badly and the mattresses had seen better days and as for the pillows they were very bad and had no spring to them. A dog was let out every morning in the courtyard and did it's business and this was never cleaned up after 3 lots each morning so we had to be careful where we stepped. Everything in the kitchen we washed by hand ourselves as it was disgusting and there were crumbs everywhere from god knows how long ago. All in all, for the money, it was disappointing and put a dampener on our family stay. We did venture out a few times but not for long as it was supposed to be a long weekend of family spending time with each other having nice home made meals and playing games as we all came from different parts of the country. It is such a shame as it's a very peaceful location and nice big spacious rooms with enough sofas and and big dining table to sit around. It needs a good deep clean and regularly maintaining.

Loved the house - great showers, good comfy beds, large enough to let us have loads of room, good TVs, easy parking, feels secure, nice and modern. Less thrilled with the Skegness area which we last visited more than 20 years ago and it may be another 20 years before we return. Perfect for families with kids but not so good for a couple getting on in years who like nice scenery to paint and places to walk.

Lovely place and beautiful house, however it wasn't to the highest standard of cleaning, I had to wash most things prior to using in the kitchen, the floors were dirty, and tiles in upstairs bathroom shower were filthy.

not very child friendly, no stair gates, no cot and no pots etc suitable for young children. driveway shared with owner who lived above garage and had a small dog who left us a small package by the front door and i had to move it so nobody walked in it!!!! had to keep doors closed as told chickens/cats would wander in on arrival we were "lectured" with rules and to make sure to separate rubbish as bins fill up quick(were already half full), we did this but on second day owner just filled the bin with their waste and didn't seem to bother about recycling.
