Perfectly located for exploring both the North Moors and the Heritage Coast of Yorkshire, walkers and cyclists will love this area. A stones throw from Dalby Forest home to the world mountain bike event with cycle tracks to suit all ages. Swing through the trees at Go Ape; enjoy a picnic or BBQ at one of the designated areas complete with BBQ’s. Dalby Forest hosts many live music events throughout the year a great night for all the family. Take a trip over the moors to the ancient seaport of Whitby known for its connections with Capt James Cook, and a stroll around Panet Park will bring you to the Cook Museum. Cobbled streets lined with antique and curio shops a colourful promenade and a three mile stretch of sandy beach, all overlooked and almost protected by the ancient Abbey ruins and St Mary’s church will leave lasting memories. A more elegant day can be enjoyed in the Edwardian seaside resort of Scarborough, Britain’s first seaside resort with guests arriving for more than 300 years. An eclectic mix of shops in the town centre will while away some time and take the cliff lift down to the South Bay where everything from donkey rides and candy floss to some fine dining is available.
