Welcome Cottages

Lakeside, seaside, countryside, hillside...wherever you can picture your perfect cottage, you'll find it with Welcome Cottages!

Overlooking the Teifi Valley, this delightful converted barn lies 15 miles to the coast and 2 miles to Lampeter.

Quiet and tranquil countryside overlooking the Teifi Valley are the main qualities of these semi-detached, single-storey, delightfully converted holiday barns (refs W43068 and W8680) which are situated on a working farm. Beudy Bach (ref W43068) has been decorated and furnished to a good standard and Beudy Mawr (ref W8680) boasts a woodburner, beams and a splendid original stall from the barn in the kitchen. There are 650 yards of single bank fishing on the famous Teifi River, the coast is 15 miles away where dolphins play, and Aberaeron is a must to visit with its picturesque harbour and coloured houses. This is a perfect location for walking, cycling, touring the countryside or the coast, bird watching - red kites can be spotted nearby - or for simply relaxing. The university town of Lampeter is only 2 miles away. Village shop 1.5 miles, pubs and restaurants 2 miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Shower room with toilet.

Lovely warm welcome. Children enjoyed watching the morning milking session and seeing the newly born calves. Great environment and great base

A wonderful place to visit. The cottage was comfortable, and had little extras on arrival to make us feel welcome. The views from the windows are incredible. It's a great place to relax, and not far from coastal walks and other attractions.

An enjoyable "get away from it all" break at this cottage. The owners are very friendly and made sure that I had all that I needed during my stay. Although December, it provided a cosy retreat and I hope to be able to return in the future.

This was our first "Family" holiday with our 1 and 3 year old. The pictures of the bedrooms do not do them justice. Both rooms have a good size set of drawers and wardrobe and still have plenty of room to move around. Our boys would setup their wooden train track, which we brought with us, and play in their room. There is a hall way which connects the front door, living area, bedrooms and shower room/toilet, which may not seem much but it is a good area to get your shoes and coats off and adds more space for the kids to run around and play. You can look at the location in 2 ways depending on your point of view. You can either say there you are isolated and not much to do close by, or, there are loads of things to do within about 1 hour's drive. We took the latter and enjoyed seeing the country side traveling from place to place. If you are willing to travel a little further Mwnt beach is a must. The town of Lampeter is about 2.5 miles away where there are a good selection of shops, takeaways, supermarkets, etc for such a small town. Our hosts where amazingly friendly and welcoming and often took the time to have a chat. I could go on so I will just list other aspects: Mobile Phone signal was fine and only an issue in one bedroom. Being on a working farm was exciting for the kids, seeing big machinery and cows up close. We was even invited to see the milking parlour. Nice grassy area to the front, with a great view to play and another area to hang your washing (we did loads of washing). Red Kites ( the bird ) galore. Wonderful view out the living room window. The only negative thing I would say, is I didn't like the old fashioned electric cooker, but that is only a minor issue. I would defiantly look at staying there again.
