This was advertised as being dog friendly but when we arrived we found there were to many restrictions like don't exercise your dog in the garden & being surrounded by fields frustrating to find we weren't allowed in them !! Don't let them go upstairs but no stair gate to stop them. The lodge could be lovely it's just a little tired & needs a bit of tlc!! When we arrived there was also lots of flies ( big blue bottles ) inside the lodge.

Unfortunately when arriving at this property we noticed there were a lot of blue bottle flies in the window which we consequently terminated approx. 15-20 in total. After unpacking we went out and on our return the same amount were in the window again so these were killed and then throughout the evening more flies were appearing. On the Sunday morning again we were faced with more flies and on our return Sunday afternoon another batch were in the window. We came to the conclusion that we could not stay at this property so only staying one night out of seven that was the end of our holiday as having contacted the owner there was no one about to sort it out and basically the response was well you are in the countryside what do you expect! Also apart from the flies the property was cold, damp and smelly, broken blinds and the bathroom/shower really needed updating and unfortunately how this property is described along with the pictures is not what it is like in reality.

Lovely quite location great to get away from real life for a week it's no good if you're obsessed by technology though! Nice garden to sit out in perfect for dogs to have a run and play safely. A few things need attention in the cabin and patio area but nothing that would spoil your stay.

Nice house plenty of space but perhaps needs a new shower and balcony rail mended.

Our second visit in a couple of months. A perfect break away from the hustle and bustle. Limited phone signal (perfect!) and so cozy whilst a storm was happening outside. Can't wait to return (again!).
