We felt that the description about this cottage was not good. The ensuite bedroom had no wardrobe just three hangers. The bathroom had no hooks etc to hang clothes. The upstairs bathroom stated shower attachment and that was all it was. No curtain, about three foot above floor level and if you lifted it higher there was no pressure, which was poor generally upstairs, which meant we all had to use the ensuite shower (2 unrelated couples)No info given re medical, bin days or general things. Yet we sent a cheque as requested for extra cleaning and this would be £18 per hour yet there were cobwebs in two rooms, dirty t towels in drawer for our use, and we were instructed to strip the beds of linen. That was a first in46 years of self catering. How it warrants 4 stars is beyond me.

Had a fantastic week with family who have never been to Scotland before. The weather was great, lucky guess for choosing that week. The views of the Loch and mountains are perfect. Equipment inside the cottage is all that is needed. It is handy to Callander for shopping if required. Local people very friendly. The only downside is the road which cannot be helped as it is a straight stretch of road and the motor bikes love to race along it so nothing can be done about this, but it goes quiet from 21:00 hrs and if out walking or doing GO APE like we did then shattered by that time and ready for bed. Thank you to the owners we would return again.

The cottage and its location could not be faulted. But we would only stay again either on our own or with other adults and not with two young children (our grandchildren on half-term holiday) in the "off-season". This is no fault of the cottage or the owners, simply its location some distance from places where there is appropriate entertainment in early February. Another problem, not the fault of the cottage itself, is that the mobile phone signal is intermittent and there is no internet access. Both proved to be somewhat difficulty in the circumstances. On our own, this would not have been a problem. The variable weather during our stay prevented us from going on even easy walks for either the children or ourselves as senior citizens but there was sufficient alternative "entertainment" in the cottage to occupy us all.
