A beautiful barn conversion set within the grounds of a working farm

Benmore Byre is a beautiful barn conversion set within the grounds of a working farm near Dunoon and is located within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.  This semi-detached cottage has been lovingly restored from the ruins of an old barn. The building has wonderful original features and is full of character; thick stone walls, some narrow slit windows, coombed ceiling upstairs and all the interior wood is Douglas Fir which has been harvested from the grounds of the farm itself, then hand crafted to achieve a high standard of detail.  The open plan living area is spacious with an additional wooden extension providing a light & airy kitchen/dining area, with views over the farmland and to the hills beyond. The lounge has a wood burning stove, leather suite and the single bedroom leads off from here.   There is a further two bedrooms upstairs with the master bedroom having en-suite facilities.  The cottage has its own small enclosed garden to the front and also a private patio area off from the kitchen. Benmore Botanic Gardens are only a short stroll along from the cottage and you are provided with passes which allow you free access to the gardens during your stay. 

Ground Floor: The property is heated by an electric wet system and comprises:
Open plan living space:
Lounge / diner:  with wood-burning stove, Freesat TV, DVD and radio/CD
Kitchen:  with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice-box, dishwasher and washing machine
Bedroom 1:  with single bed
Shower room:  with large shower cubicle, WC and wash basin with under-floor heating

First Floor: Bedroom 2:  a family room with one double bed and one single bed, TV monitor, DVD
Bedroom 3:  a master bedroom with double bed and en-suite facilities comprising  bath, WC and wash basin with under-floor heating

All electricity included.   First supply of fuel for stove provided.  Bed linen and towels supplied. Travel cot, highchair and fireguard available on request.Enclosed garden area with outdoor seating and BBQ (coals not included). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working farm). Storage available for bikes/fishing tackle. Private certified water supply. Free passes available to access Benmore Botanic Gardens. Two rod permit available to purchase at a reduced rate for the River Eck – both trout and salmon. Owners can organise various outdoor activities by prior arrangement – rock climbing, abseiling, quad biking, archery, clay shooting and horse riding. Off road parking for 2 cars.

    Stunning views, excellent walks around the area, accommodation very good and to a high standard the only low points we had no service on our phones and no wifi within the accommodation so if we wanted to contact anyone we had to drive 7 miles up the road to Dunoon would be good if wifi was in the property
