Bell Cottage is situated right in the heart of Pittenween, one of the most attractive traditional fishing villages in the East Neuk of Fife. There are many historic sites and cultural events throughout the year, including the Pittenween Arts Festival. This area has many wonderful sandy beaches to enjoy and coastal walks with the Fife Coastal Path passing through the village. This area is synonymous with golf; the cottage is only 9 miles from the ancient university town of St Andrews and its famous golf courses and many other local courses close by. This is the perfect location for all ages to enjoy this area and all it has to offer. After a day exploring, you relax in the summerhouse in the sunny garden with a glass of wine. Our stay at Bell Cottage was excellent would definitely recommend and revisit. Owner very helpful with any queries we had and dealt with things promptly. Cottage had more resources than we expected, it was cosy and clean. We had a lovely stay. Ideal base for visiting many attractions by car.

This was the second year we took Bell Cottage,so that in itself speaks volumes. I come from Fife and live in Birmingham. Great location to meet my family and the lovely cal restaurants are amazing. Our dog Oscar loved it too.

We enjoyed our stay at Bell Cottage. The cottage is well equipped with plenty of room. The log burner is easy to use giving a great boost of heat on a cold evening. It is in an ideal place for exploring Pittenweem and the surrounding area. The garden will be a great bonus in warmer weather. We found the area and the cottage very dog friendly. Recommend The Larachmhor Tavern on the harbour, they made us and our dog very welcome.

We had a lovely time over Christmas at Bell cottage a beautiful cottage inside and out great space for a family and dog to enjoy .The welcome pack was a lovely touch including a bottle of fizz and treats for Lucy our dog making the start of our Christmas break so relaxing thanks.Heating on for us arriving and the cottage was warm throughout our stay the wood burning stove in use throughout our whole stay and with a large co-op in Anstruther if more logs as required as we found out . With such a fully equipped kitchen not a thing did I need to bring down to led candles for our table.Dinner was so easy to prepare and cook and such a spacious area to sit and all enjoy around the table. Great location to explore the surrounding area and managed to find the local pub for a much needed refreshment after some fresh sea air . If i was to be a little critical it could be doing with a deep clean in some areas corners and skirtings and no sheet on 1 of the double beds, needing a wee bit of attention but as my dad said it adds to the cosy cottage character .A must for all large bedrooms and a very homely feeling as soon as you enter Bell cottage would recommend and hopefully will manage another visit sometime in the future

Bell Cottage was a fantastic base to explore a very beautiful area. It was extremely well equipped and had lovely decor. The outdoor area, summer house and BBQ were great for nice weather and the wood burning stove was very cosy for chilly evenings. We would definitely like to return to this area and this cottage!

The 5 for cleanliness related to the black mould on the window frame in the bedroom with bunk bed. Caused by condensation over many years we think but responded ( a bit) to cleaning on day we arrived. If our grandson had asthma/ chest problems he could not have slept in the room. Other windows were affected as well but not too bad- shame as nice sash windows; would last for years if treated and maintained. Otherwise, a great cottage in a great wee place!
