A lovely cottage in a very rural location. Ideal for a real getting away from it break. Sue and Peter are excellent hosts, on site but not intrusive. Bearing in mind the cottage itself is very old it has everything you could want. The bathroom is large with a good shower and separate bath. The kitchen has everything you need to cook basic meals. The main bedroom is large and the bed very comfortable, you just have to get used to the fact that the ancient floor slopes down from the door. In all it's a lovely cottage, in a lovely village, miles away from civilisation, perfect for a quiet break.

Sue and Peter do an amazing job of maintaining this historic cottage and making you feel very welcome and at home with thoughtful touches. From the basket of firewood, to the home made cupcakes and well presented rooms the Owners have created the perfect place for a wee get away in the Suffolk countryside.

lovely cottage unfortunately has a problem with flies we could not stay in cottage had to spray every room and leave locked up for the day. needs a deep clean bird droppings o beam in bedroom. single beds short and lumpy. very upset after paying for 4 star accomodation. area beautifull

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for drawing these matters to our attention. We’re glad you found it a beautiful area. The cottage is in the Suffolk countryside, very rural and surrounded by farmers’ fields. However, flies are part of rural life, particularly at harvest time, as now, and this problem is not confined to just our cottage. We're sorry if you found the flies to be a problem but we take every precaution we can and have 2 very effective ‘redtop flycatchers’ close to the cottage. We are pleased to confirm that all the beds have now been upgraded with Hypnos mattresses (September 2017), as used by a well-known hotel chain, and the two single divan bases have been similarly upgraded.

Bell Corner Cottage provided us with a comfortable and characterful base from which to enjoy the many attractions of Suffolk and only a 30min commute to Snape Maltings. Facilities are very clean and a well fenced, secure garden for dogs/ children to play. Sue and Peter are caring hosts: there if you need them whilst always being unobtrusive. We would highly recommend this charming, quirky, historic cottage and look forward to return trips.

Great cottage, plenty of parking, and peace & quiet. Good jumping off point for the coast (Southwold recommended) or inland attractions. be wary of sat navs - go to Cratfield Village to find the cottage - the postcode takes you a few miles out! The cottage is warm, welcoming and excellent facilities
