Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

With a backdrop of ivy and trees, this detached, single-storey lodge is an ideal getaway, set in the Sussex countryside.

This lovely, detached, single-storey lodge is set against a backdrop of ivy and trees, and adjacent to fields opposite the local traditional pub serving food. Ideal for couples or small families, Beechwood Lodge is only about ½-mile from an unspoilt, pebble beach, sand dunes and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. A farm shop selling local produce is also approximately ½-mile in the other direction. It has an enclosed, slightly elevated woodland area, which is a haven for wildlife, including the occasional deer, pheasant and various birds. Inside, the property offers tastefully furnished, light and airy accommodation, with a ‘deer’ theme, to give the feel of a hunting lodge, and there is a sofa bed in the open plan living area, for up to two children. The shower room and toilet is en-suite to the master bedroom.
There is plenty to do in the area, with Arundel close by, famous for its castle, lanes with book and antique shops, plus Wildfowl and Wetlands Wildlife Centre, Pulborough Brooks RSPB, popular beaches at The Witterings, Worthing and Bognor. It is within easy driving distance of Chichester with the cathedral, festival theatre, leisure facilities and Goodwood or Fontwell Races plus Midhurst with Cowdray Polo and shops. There are many scenic walks including the South Downs National Park. There is also the cosmopolitan city of Brighton to the east with its Royal Pavilion and Portsmouth to the west, which has Spinnaker Tower, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight and designer retail shopping. National Trust homes and gardens, such as Goodwood House, Parham Park, Petworth House, Stanstead Park and East Dean can all be easily reached. Outdoor pursuits such as golf, horseracing, various water sports and cycle routes can all be found in the area. Beach ½ mile. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 20 yards.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with double sofa bed (for children). 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet.

Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Freeview TV. Electric cooker. Microwave. Wi-fi. Enclosed woodland area with sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (2 cars). Welcome pack. No smoking.

What a little gem of a place. Beautiful settings, quiet location, and everything you could need was there. Was there in early March, after the recent "Beast from the East", and no cost was spared when it came to heating. Was so warm, we had to turn some of the radiators off! Well done Marion, a splendid home, you should be proud of.

This is excellent accommodation, extremely comfortable, warm and well equiped. Contrary to a few previous reviews, we honestly didn't hear any noise from the pub and the road was fine to walk along - five minutes to the beach! The owners have pulled out the stops to make the stay as much like home as possible, even down to free wi-fi! The bed was comfortable, bathroom equipment spotless, there was plenty of crockery and cutlery. We can highly recommend this property for a couple wanting some time away and we will certainly stay there again, if and when we return to the area. Many thanks to the owners for a really pleasant week.

Lovely cosy Cottage, with modern and comfortable furniture, very well equipped, perfect for our dog as there is a fence all around the property. Good location as there is a very dog friendly pup with good food and friendly people right across the street 😊 and only a short walk to the beach.

The lodge is beautifully presented and very comfortable. The enclosed garden is a real bonus, The pub serves good value food and the area is great for dog walking.

Lovely little cottage, beautifully fitted out. Probably best suited to a couple with or without dog, as very small and the bathroom is ensuite. Very cosy despite it being November, only downside the noise from the Black Horse immediately opposite. Dog walking a pleasure on Climping Beach a short distance down the road.

Brilliant cottage for two people and one dog, pub across the way was friendly and welcoming, lots to do nearby and a short walk to the beach. Cottage was lovely and warm and very clean too. The only downside was that the road was surprisingly noisy - very close nad the local traffic travelled very fast.

Beechwood Lodge was a lot smaller than I expected, the bedroom was very cramped with hardly any storage space to put your clothes. Every time you wanted to eat you had to lift the table out and fold the top up which then blocked the doorway to the bedroom. There seemed to be a lot of dog hairs about on the furniture. Parts of the property where not over clean, dust on the blinds and spiders webs behind the settee. Having to park your car under the trees was not very good, every morning you had to clean the leaves and the bird droppings off it. The outside space and furniture was very poor, there is no garden, just rough ground. It says that the cottage sleeps 4 , but I thought it was too small just for 2 I think this cottage was over priced,
